Had a dream that fuuchan finally dropped a message somewhere but it was an ar code that people deciphered to have the location of where to meet him at, which a lot of people went to in hopes to see him and sure enough he appeared... kind of like a surprised guest at a convention if I had to compare it to anything (especially since it seemed niji approved of it). I use a Shure SM7B, Cloudlifter CL-1 (since the SM7B requires a ton of power and gain input) and Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface; input set to around 70/75%, 35/40% if I need to do shouting. I have considered investing into the TC-Helicon GO XLR interface for the meme appeal when streaming but frankly it's too excessive for a hobbyist purist. I would like in due time maybe get a AKG C314 down the line.

Equipment isn't everything. You can have the most expensive microphone in the world, but if you are recording in a bathroom; people will know it's a fucking bathroom via the echo. Invest into sound dampening first and foremost. Focus upon corners and the space in which you record. You don't need to layer the entire room in foam. Your voice will travel no matter what. If you are still having issues and are looking to stream, set-up an audio gate via OBS to permit the level of audio which can or cannot transmit.

Thank you for the audio details! I use Nvidia broadcast for noise reduction and some of the basic Reaper plugins, been tweaking Noise Gate/EQ/Compressor settings a ton and it just never sounds great. I think my mic is just fine, pretty sure it's user error. I'm not using an interface but I don't think it's necessary at my level. I think I'll get some sound dampening foam to see if it helps at all. If I can ever fucking find you streaming, I will pester you directly.
