Story was a little on rails and a bit chuuni in places but I feel for Kiara that is kind of how it needed to be. They had a really good chemistry, this is the friendship inside of Takamori that I love seeing. Hopefully Kiara learns to be a little less gung ho for next time

Ignoring hooks is always a problem, but these were kind of stupid. Shady guy at the park is not something a normal human would follow up without a good reason.
So either do more with the strange pictures or the freaky janitor. Felt way too short in the jump from just kinda weird to straight up taking player equipment. Repeat a few days at work/park pics and let the player engage.

Combat house could have gone better, but thats on Kiara. She really needs to figure out how to play to her strengths. Switching from gun point blank in his face to pushing him off just makes it harder on her. Shooting the lock can be handwaved as cool enough to stun the other 4 gunmen. Still stupid but that was expected. Not counting going home while hunted, brainpower ran out way before.
Still strong showing as a first session.

Okay, post-game impressions.

First of all kudos to Mori, I know this isn't the thread for it, but in light of recent criticisms I wanted to give her the shoutout. Starting hiccups nonwithstanding, during the stream she was great and honestly, I wouldn't mind if she just drops the type of streams she's clearly not as enthusiastic about (most videogames, for example), and just focuses her content on the few things she's actually really into. Quality over quantity.

Now as for Kiara, overall a good showing, even if sometimes just for audience entertainment reasons. There was no dead air at least or too much unfocused "soo uuuuh...what do I do know?", even if the stuff she DID actually do were questionable at times and will certainly be improved after more sessions and coaching.

You could tell she was kinda overthinking her character and was still unsure on what's the "right" way to play them. I mean, okay Tiara is supposed to be mistrustful and conflict-averse, so Kiara avoided too many plot-threads (be it people or places) in the beginning until Mori practically had to force her into action. And then Tiara also kinda overcompensated sometimes in the other extreme and did some rather suicidal gun actions, for example, and Mori basically had to soft-throw her rolls so she doesn't kill herself in the tutorial already.

I think with more practice Kiara will find a better balance (I hope they do a bts aftertalk/coaching, where Mori explains to her a bit better the meta aspect of ttrpg-gaming and how to pick up on what the GM is actually laying out for you), but even for this first stream I had an absolute blast, if just for the "accidental comedy" our lovable dumb chimkin always manages to produce:

It's an older rrat that recently got fed when Ollie told her members she talked to Ame about her problems but doesn't know how to engage Kiara (probably because of her Gigastacy energy) or Gura (probably because of numbers and how vile chumbuds can be).

Ollie has some similarities with Mori in that she crumbles when she can't dominate.
Mori dominates with her gap act, being sweet and caring as long as things go her way but whipping out the deep voice when not.
Ollie dominates with her hyper-activity and her marriage proposals.
How bad things can get is easily seen by Mori's shitpost review where she had no chance against Coco or when Ollie interacts with Anya who completely blanks her stick. But Ollie and Anya are gen-mates so people find it endearing.

But their acts are paper-thin while Kiara actually has one of the most dominating personalities in Hololive.
A big portion of TakaMori troubles is Mori flailing around to find out how to work with someone she can't easily bully into submission while Kiara wonders why Mori behaves so autistic.
That's part of why their TTRPG collab went to great - being a DM gave Mori power without the need to sperg out.
It's no wonder Ollie is intimidated by that, Kiara dominates her just by breathing.

Their early interactions were also too much for Ollie.
There was an early meme that she is a TakaMori child - death theme from Mori, hyper energy from Kiara. During a Passpartout stream she asked Kiara who was in chat about that and Kiara did not answer with yes or no but something like "I have to ask my lawyer." - leaving possibilities open but feeding into Ollies insecurities.
When Ollie showed up to Kiara's stream chat two times in a row just as she started SC reading Kiara playfully scolded her for that. And sure enough next time Ollie was there earlier, as if Kiara had been serious.
And then there is of course Ollie tricking Mori into marrying her in Indonesian, the "anger" about which Kiara intergrated into her keyfabe but Ollie might just take it serious once again.

During their Mario Party collab with Coco Ollie did her best to be disrespectful and teasing towards Mori.
But in a member stream Kiara talked about interacting with Ollie before the Roboco costume reveal and how Ollie could not stop calling Kiara senpai because she is so intimidated.

Basically Ollie has the same problem as most of EN (except Ina) where she is utterly overwhelmed by Kiara.
But while EN gets smothered by Kiara's motherly nature off screen Ollie gets no such treatment since they haven't truely worked together.
This is all just from them being in each others chats...

At the end of the day it is still a show of two people talking. And while we get some interesting stories - especially recently since Kiara has found her groove - the show is not known for its cutting edge journalism that tells the stories Cover doesn't want you to know.
I can see 30k-50k viewers but nowhere near biggest stream so far.

Outfit reveals and 3D debuts will always outperform any actual stream since they are so easily digestible for even the most casual fans.

Coco's graduation actually has a chance to outperform Gura's outfit reveal just because of what a legendary moment it will be - but HoloTalk doesn't.

Roboco had her outfit reveal, it was very recently.
Roboco has been playing Apex with Ollie and Ame a lot and she had a HoloTalk with Kiara before that so she invited all three of them to participate.
Roboco is fully 3D so her guests told her what poses to do and stuff like that - and Kiara translated for Ame and Ollie.
As a little sidegame they were supposed to make Roboco say a certain word during their instruction time without saying it themselves. But Ollie seemingly misunderstood and blurted it right out. Now that I think about it this probably doesn't help her with being awkward around Kiara.

Ollie and Kiara didn't have much direct interaction on stream but they talked for the first time behind the scenes.

First of all,whether you like watchalongs or not you have to admit 1 thing: It's the laziest piece of content you can make. It's like those "reaction" channels on youtube.There is no skill involved or anything really, you literally just sit and watch a movie.

Basically I love her and I only care about Kiara. I have no interest in any of the other girls. I only watch(ed) collabs with Kiara in it. But after the Uno arc she changed too much. I watched the first 20 or so minutes of the jackbox game and she was horrible. Like a completely different person. She wasn't Kiara at all. Because I'm watching the Mori shill stream, and sad to say, especially coming off the high of the good ttrpg stream, the 5% reaper is back to her old low effort ways again and phones in the stuff she clearly doesn't care about (which is most of the things related to streaming, unless it's a special personal pet project).

If that is the case I would recommend the TTRPG since it is 1 on 1 and Calli as the DM, its basically a story with Kiara as the main character, so she kinda is forced to be the center of attention for the collab. Maybe you can watch some clips people that put up to get the feel of it? She is roleplaying tho, so she isn't exactly her loud attention seeking self cause she wanted her character to be more reserved. But there are times when Kiara is a Dom against Calli's male NPC character which was a nice sight.

Also what of the UNO collab did you not like? Most people didn't like it cause Kiara was too much the center of attention lol.
