Honestly, the way Nijisanji is operating, their operations are way more idol-like compared to Hololive right now. Nijisanji slows down but they still have a steady constant debut of new members, all fresh from their own VTA school program. All merchs are standardised too with almost all profits goes to the company. There are differences in rule and type of company, like vtubers do have option to get donations from streaming compared to normal idol, but Nijisanji definitely cribbing alot of its operation method from traditional idol agencies. Compare those to Hololive, where they didn't have any debutees for 2022, and only list plan of "we'll debuts new generation within a year"
