I think that's one of those things that come with age sometimes. I'm almost certain Nina and I are the same age, or very close to it, but I've mellowed out considerably compared to how I was five or ten years ago. I came to understand myself more; that, in combination with some antidepressants, really helped me even out.

Of course, some people don't get that growth and just continue to stay angry because they miss out on, or outright avoid, a personal journey like that.

For me, I think it's just simply that, through your 20s, you typically get enough experience in the adult world to understand the parts of you that drive people away but simultaneously realize the kind of people or situations you don't want to be around and recognize that you're rarely under obligation to engage or participate. Arguments are a good example: most of the time, neither you nor the other participants are going to have their minds changed, so it just ends up being a waste of time and energy.

Once I got those revelations, a lot of my pent-up frustration melted away.
