This, Mythic is kind of like how Coca-Cola owns a bunch of random products/brands. Coke also owns a tea company, various water bottle/sparkling water brands, coffee brands etc.

Yet none of these brands "see" the other brands or interact with each other and aren't even stocked near each other or even on the same aisles in stores.

Similarly Mythics are related under an umbrella but have no obligations to do anything together as a company or see/acknowledge each other. My concern with mythic is some of these smaller vtubers are gonna feel like they will get pushed out now that they're getting in vshojo dropouts and mythic will push them harder than all the rest. And if vshitshow falls apart then they'll grab the rest, even Froot.

You know that TV and film actors have management agencies too right? Those agencies don't own the rights to the actor's likeness or dictate the types of shows the actor participate in. The management facilitates connections with acting jobs, sponsorships, pay negotiation, publicity, accounting and legal support, and they get paid from a cut of the actor's pay. This is standard in entertainment. Vtuber corpos as they exist today are more like the old timey hollywood studio system where performers were directly contracted with one film company or theater troupe and had no control over their public image.

Why not? None of them need to like each other or talk with each other. Basically the purpose of Mythic boils down to the power of information parity between Advertisers and Talents.

Supposed a company like Established Titles is looking to run a new ad campaign they can send feelers to talents separately on how much each would like to be paid for every 1000 views or something. If you are a talent you are incentivized to lowball your estimate for your channel to increase the chances of getting the contract over other channels. Of course other channels can also try the same strategy so in the end the advertiser wins because they can get a better price due to the talents bidding to the bottom to "win".

Mythic tries to overturn the information parity to the advantage of the talents. Since all the talents will now be under Mythic whenever any advertiser tries to gauge how much to pay for a new ad campaign they can collectively set a higher price since they don't have to compete to the bottom to win the contract. This works better the more people join them since it lessens the bargaining power of advertisers to just avoid Mythic-related talents to find ones who can do the campaign at a smaller fee.
