In terms of models there are so many options. I recommend the succubro mix of Creamsicle (check the model rentry in the OP) mixed with 30% protogenX34. Or mixing counterfeit with hll4e8 (there's recipes on the rentry)

Hey there, off the top of my head there was some advancement with the bayesian merge stuff, I'm sure if you just search for bayesian in the archives you'll find the small dozen of posts talking about it.
Otherwise nothing notable enough for a non-mixer layanon like me to notice, I think there was a revised hll4 version out with some optimizations that people liked, but again, not a mixer.

I also mix up styles often so there are probably people who think I'm 2 or 3 anons who post rarely, I do the fairly muscular chuubas if you've seen those, for example. But not the VERY muscular ones, there are a couple different anons who have gotten very good at those.
The PC98 Lulu doesn't have great likeness but the modern Touhou one came out pretty nice I think.

You can probably get a decent idea of when it's me from the filename, I've only rarely seen other anons use "best quality" only.
Also lately my WebUI puts giant numbers on every gen so there's that as a tell too.

Mostly the effect of a Roropull LoRa, one of my favourites.
If I recall correctly I did an initial gen for this at low strength on Lulu's prompt, then raised it up in upscaling.

I've noticed that after prompting for a while it seems my setup becomes "tired". Lines get wobblier, shapes become more misshapen, it creates randomly failed images more often, images become more random, and one time it created spikes on outlines. Changing the prompt, model, or other aspects doesn't seem to help, though restarting does.
Any idea why this might be? I haven't been prompting for too long, so I'm not sure if it's normal.

After a restart try recreating one of those "bad" images with all the same settings (CFG, Seed, model, etc.) and see if you get it again.

Just messing with different HiRes upscalers.
I've started using HiRes recently, to cut down on how much manual editing I do.
Instead of using a very low res picture and fixing it in steps, I gen a bunch of mid-res pictures and fix up the ones that are 90% good already.
Initial gen takes a bit longer but it saves a lot of work overall.
So I tested a bunch of upscalers, including a few that don't come with the WebUI.
For the limited use I get out of them, the one I was already using (R-ESRGAN 4x+ Anime6B) performs completely adequately while the others felt worse.

I'm honestly not a huge fan of how R-ESRGAN Anime6B works on its own - it tends to create lines that are too thick and smooth compared to the original image. Especially if you're using it with AOM2 or 3 - it destroys a lot of the film grain-ish texture that makes gens from those models look so unique.
I usually get the best results by using the WebUI upscaler with Lanczos as the main upscaler and then R-ESRGAN Anime6B as the secondary one with visibility around 15-20%.

If I use the lora I can do vtubers and then something besides vtubers without having to wait 30 seconds to switch models or use 5 extra gigs of precious SSD space, plus I can fine-tune how much the chuuba design should influence the output by changing the lora weight.
Maybe I'd get higher quality output by using the merged model but I haven't had any issues from using the base model + hll lora so far.
