I think Nyanners actually did a lot of work for the company behind the scenes too, when all the bullshit drama with Nuz was going on a year ago Nyanners was deeply involved in the admin side of that.

I am 99% convinced there was a group meeting about 2 weeks ago in which everyone just vented their frustrations about the company doing basically nothing at all (with regards to the silvervale harassment, repeated doxxing attempts of all talents, and the lack of a clear goal behind the org). I think this meeting happened and ended with everyone just being mad as fuck about it and GunRun being too much of a fuckling to square the issues up or to atleast convince the girls he heard their concerns and could work on them, leading to mass exodus.

Their top half just left within a couple of days, if GunRun doesn't have something enormous ready to deploy in the next 2-3 weeks Vshojo is done.

Remember the last couple of months? we were getting new Vshojo merch like every fucking month. Vshojo corp was milking dry the cow that gives out the most gold, and the girls weren't getting any of it.
There is also a chance that this new contract would've cut into their ad revenue, but that's just speculation.

If you take into consideration that the girls have to pay for their stuff, it doesn't make any more sense to stay on Vshojo when they are already big enough to thrive as an indie.

The only reason I'm upset by any of this is because my interests in certian VTuber cliques are neatly sectioned off by threads, I've got my VShojos I watch, my ligs I watch, other corpos, etc. But now that VShojo is collapsing things are getting muddied and ruining my sense of order, but it's only really a problem on this board.
Then again back when VShojo started I was 100% against and corps, and was hoping that VShojo would exist to transition it's talents from small indie to big time streamer, then they could leave if they wanted too, after a bit I ended up not caring if the VTubers I watched were in a corp or not (unless they were getting fucked over by said corp) but I guess I never expected them to actually outgrow VShojo, this probably explains why several other big indies never really showed interest in joining.
