it's been a while since we've had a tech question. OBS recently updated and now they include Nvidia's ai based noise cancellation thing. has anyone used it? does it work?

i found that trying to do karaoke with it was impossible because there's like a 0.3 second delay (guessing that's when the noise cancellation is doing its work) between when i sing and the sound comes through on the stream. so that's basically out entirely for karaokes.

anyone else have experience with it? is it worth it? currently only using it to filter out my keyboard and mouse click noises.

I mainly use this one by CG cookie, it's not great or finished but it does show you what loops you should probably have
https://youtu.be/oa9ZRyBFcCg

I usually watch that one to remind me of the edge loops I need & then compare it to other people's models to make sure my topology is good

but I think the CG cookie tut gives you too much unnecessary detail on the model so for a more simplified tutorial I think this might be better:

Ever heard of Designdoll? It's one of the many 3D character posing programs, but I think it's free version has the most options and accessibility of all.
You do a quick full body model in it with the pre-installed parts, set some poses and then you can make screenshots from any angle for modelling and drawing references or just straight-up trace over them.
The free version is restricting saving of your own models, so don't do anything too complex with it. https://terawell.net/terawell/
Just thought maybe it could be helpful.

there are plenty of artists, and the process is fairly simple since it's just normal art, but instead of combining the layers, you keep them separate and fill in the void areas. live2d artists charge a premium because of the hype, but it's really something almost every artist can do (you'll just need to inform them to keep things on separate layers)

not that many riggers. live2d is a pretty specialized skill that's really only used in asia for games, visual novels, etc. it's pretty easy to get into, but hard to do well, which is why good riggers can charge an arm and a leg.
