Employment is down with jobs freely available, most people moved in with their parents and working part time or not at all. Youtube and streaming are overall up in terms of how much people are watching, it's just certain vtubing brands are getting mogged by alternative entertainment sources. A lot of people are finding alternatives to niji and cover because there isn't enough product in the corpo en scene. Higher ccv means a streamer makes more, it doesn't mean a streamer is of a higher quality, you can like 2views or someone declining, it doesn't matter. The average rate is 50 cents to a dollar per ccv per hour, and most sponsored streams are one or two hours. You can look it up easily. Different websites exist for small streamers to work with companies like that. And yes, if they did a few of those a month, have advertisement money from youtube and/twitch, and a small merch shop while they work up to being a higher 3view they're going to make more than joining hololive. Hololive stopped hiring those 100ccv streamers with talents that attracted and kept audiences and they've been growing on their own, their audiences went to them anyway so some are getting into high 3view, low 4view territory. And high 3view territory is a lot more money.
