This is USA,CANADA,AUSTRALIA,UK,NZ but also many parts of europe and even latin america, hell even some SEA parts have a widespread english adoption.
HoloEN is effectively = Holo WORLDWIDE
They debuted with massive numbers, 30k,40k all across the board.
Insane growth.
What do they have now?
Stagnation, loss, a pathetic state, even indies, vshoujo and nijisanji are giving them a fair fight now.
They are in ruins, not a shell of their former self.
In the exact same amount of time HoloJP used the exposure HoloEN generated to grow and capitalized on that momentum.
There are multiple girls with solo 30K CCV, many girls around 15K and 10K, their lowest members are now at 3K
Old EN darlings like Mori and Ame are now stuck rotting at that 3K tier.
It's 100% the result of neglect and bad management.
Hololive (Japan) debuted many vtubers in its first two years, quickly reaching Gen 3 and then slowing down a little.
That includes: Gen 0, Gen 1, Gen 2, Gamers and eventually Gen3
In the same time HoloEN debuted no one, then we get Gen2 and more nothing.
5 members are not a fucking branch. They are are an entry, a start. But they cannot carry a full branch, not for the FUCKING GLOBAL MARKET.
10 members? Well that's better, but was already too late, they were not even able to catch up with the lost time.
Nijisanji debuts members way too fast, but once they reached a good number they slowed down a lot. That has allowed them to catch up.
What HoloEN did is much worse, they stagnated and lost momentum.
You can slow down and stop the constant debuts, but you cannot make up for the lost time and the lost momentum.
We should have at least 3 gens by now, maybe even 4.
20 girls, is that too much to ask?
Myth has burned out multiple times. Gura cannot handle this shit anymore. Ame is out of ideas. Ina is tired. Kiara can keep going but honestly she's just built different. Cali sort of stopped caring too much but that has allowed her to avoid burnout at least.
The GOBLINA Irys model was inexcusable, actual incompetence and lack of a spine, they should have told redjuice to suck a fucking dick and gotten someone to polish that original model.

The major decisions for the EN branch are made by Yagoo. We are getting 2 or 3 gens of Tempus before EN3 because he wanted to see how popular holostars could get in the western market. ID is not a real branch it's an unimportant and nearly irrelevant side project.
It took them years to have any decent impact, actual years.
They needed everything to align perfectly for them.
Moona wins the lottery and becomes Pekora's minion, exposing her to a wider audience. Then HoloFES happens and she does the most SEX performance holofans had ever seen.
This was their moment, their chance to really capitalize on their recent exposure and they got exactly what they needed, Kobo. Acting like a retard, a great model, she managed to go viral despite the language barrier just because she was cute.
Then we get Kaela on her minecraft autism arc, showing insane dedication and hard work, people everywhere start talking about her and she had legit organic growth.
Until this point ID was just a side project for Cover, just like Nijisanji has had a million different regional branches and they shut them down without giving a fuck.
ID also does not carry the same weight on its shoulders a EN.
Most people do not want to watch ESL ID girls, that's why they were stagnating for years.
EN is the real worldwide branch. It's where the numbers were massive from day 1, it's where their biggest potential lies, and it's the branch that has to carry the most weight.
So its underperformance is actually a much more impactful failure.
Think of it like a restaurant, ID is a side dish not many people eat, even if it's bad it doesn't matter.
But EN should be their main dish, what really draws people into the restaurant, the face of the business. If the main dish is shit, the company is fucked.
In japan Hololive (jp) is of course the important and relevant branch, it is the main and og branch. But for the global market EN was supposed to fill that role. Not ID.
They can let ID take its time, work its way slowly. It can have members under 1k CCV, it's fine. No pressure.
But HoloEN has the potential to reach 40k consistently, and it isn't.
That's an actual problem.

We have seen how volatile the market is, ID blowing up, the Nijisanji males suddenly doing really well, then not doing so well.
When HoloEN debuted their numbers were great and they could still be great or even greater if they had kept that momentum going like JP has done so far.
JP has seen the rise of girls like Subaru and Noel and Marine to new levels, even low tiers like Mel have a relatively higher average than they did before.
HoloEN actually performing worse is not the norm but there are perfect explanations for it.

HoloEN serves the EN market across the globe and they only have 10 vtubers. I am skeptical that even upper management could have made the decision to prioritize Tempus over EN3 unless it was directly supported by the CEO. With the December auditions we could see Tempus 3 this June.
