Not really much to say here, it's a cute fluff one-shot from that suisei is a mother/your wife universe. It's short and sweet, if you like sweet fluff like this you know what to expect.
Only thing in my mind after reading it and starting to write this review is that the fic weirdly feels like a story that would be used as a framing device for another story. It's like its the beginning and end to a story about how suisei became the idol she is but like only the framing device as the theoretical bit in the middle is instead suisei's story being 'told' rather than being the theoretical 'real story'.

I don’t think I’ve told the thread this before, or AA for that matter, but the reason why both fights ended in a draw was because of a slight miscommunication between AA and I.
See, when I was writing the stat sheet, I put in the “last stand” ability which was the reason behind the draws. I had intended for it to be an ability that would allow you one more turn after “dying”, and if you finish the fight in that turn you win, kind of like poison/bleed damage in a game. Technically someone poisoned and at 1hp should die after they finish their attack, but games would let you off the hook if you defeat the enemy in that turn. Sounded like a cool wild card so I put it in, like the machete counter.
AA interpreted it as dying after your turn ends no matter what, which resulted in both Anons going down at the same time. I’m glad there was that misunderstanding and I didn’t specify though, because it led to two kino fights.
I also nearly made the ability work like: “upon falling to 0hp, instead of dying you restore 1hp. Can only be used once per fight”, sort of like a counter to HFAnon’s phoenix amulet. As I said, glad I didn’t. Those were good times.

For the most part, yeah, that would've been an aspect of the story. Upon moving in you would find that the house is a pigsty, or there would be something she doesn't bother with that you're unable to live with, so you fix it for her. I always knew Shion was a pretty clean person though, so it was a long shot to find some sort of slobby bad habit of hers. She calls herself lazy, but compared to some of the other holos, especially the ones her age, she has decent wife power. One thing I might squeeze in is her lack of cooking. While Shion can cook, she rarely has much of an appetite, which obviously doesn't align with the requirements of a growing boy. I might continue the search but (You) being on the lazier side will fit just fine.

Getting back into the swing of things with chapter 4 of Heartbreak Tokyo, though it's kind of weird because what will be chapter 5 is the one I'm really excited to get to, and I'm kinda worried I'll unintentionally make this one lesser just to get through it. Writing things out of order sounds like a fucking mess so I definitely don't want to do that, I might just have to be extra careful which also sucks cause I write at a snails pace anyway. Ah well, it'll come out either way.

I'm where you are a lot too, where a future chapter is something I really want to get too, but all the pieces in previous chapters need to be written first. For me it adds a little extra motivation, and building excitement on my own end to get to that point. One scene I really liked from HF was where Polka was trying to explain dragon blood to the crew, and then someone (I think Coco) yelled at her and she retreated to her room, then continued speaking from within it where people couldn’t see her. That was well done. I think all the characters of HF are done well, the only gripe I have is with Ina, who is usually a little OOC. HF Ina seems more nasty and aggressive compared to real Ina, but it makes sense for the sake of the story.
Yagoo Redfield is an under-utilised character, and I wish we got to see more of him during our Mioposting arc.
Also, I need to mention Ninnisani scenario. All the girls in there are great.

Man, Our Cures' Ayame was such a good character. I loved every moment with her, enough that I'm actually disappointed in retrospect that the story was written so tightly. I would have loved to have seen more comedic romcom shit with her during the 'pursuit' and 'initially dating' parts of their relationship, though I guess with the whole limited cast the story went with there's only so much that could have gotten 'milked' from the concept.

Yeah the Christmas special is pretty much the exact kind of cute romcom stuff I wish the original fic had digressed more into. Hope that if the college sequel ever gets released there's more of that kind of fluff in it in-between the drama that's probably going to be in it.
Also really liked the implication that Ayame was a Yakuza princess hidden in another country. Somehow fits really well with the original having her be a rich girl with parents that are always abroad for 'business' while leaning into the 'oujo' aspect of the actual Ayame.
