this is the warhammer artchamp (pic related) and i just wanted to get some things off my chest.

im sorry for venting/dooming a bit, and im also sorry for not contributing as much art lately. ive been dealing with a major depressive episode which i may have mentioned a few threads back after posting some doodles. artfags are the most schizo race amiright? ive also been trying to work on some pyonjects that are a little more ambitious and probably way out of my league, such as animations, and have taken up most of my time, as well as some personal projects as ive been getting more inspired to draw and write again for myself. but that doesnt mean i'll ever stop making stuff for /pyon/. these are also some of the reasons i havent opened commissions yet even though i have my payment finally set up for it, which btw please dont make any donations yet. i appreciate it so much but i dont want to be taking peoples money if im not even producing anything. regarding commissions i'll just make a tweet about it later and link it if thats allowed. anyways, it makes me sad that a lot of really good artists havent been posting as much, but i still believe that maybe they'll come back and are just dealing with their own situations. that or hopefully we'll gain some new artists who are just as good. i know this is the worst thing i can do as an artist, but i often compare myself to a lot of those artists and just feel like my art isnt good enough. i dont consider myself the worst artist, but i consider my work rather mediocre because i feel like it's too simplistic/stylized and basically just cartoony compared to some of the other works that better artchamps have made before. and if some of you think my art is shit too then thats fine i cant really blame you. even the AI stuff looks better than anything i could make and im sorry to say this because i dont want to make any AI champs feel bad but i'd be lying if i didn't say that it can be discouraging for me at times. i just want to let you and kiki know that i'm still /here/ and i'm hoping i can get myself out of this rut and start making stuff more frequently again. it just feels like kind of a tough time for /pyon/ right now and im just really sorry for not contributing as much recently. im having a tough time myself because im just trying to figure out my goals and what im going to do with my life. but making art for /pyon/ is fun and im gonna keep doing it no matter what. also, i want to thank you guys for being so supportive of the art that i do post. it really means a lot to me and has helped me incredibly, much more than you even realize. im glad i found kiki and im glad i found /pyon/. again, thank you all.

Being an artist is suffering, it's not your fault, champ. I know AI art is the current big thing, but AI everything is the big thing on the horizon, and as simple humans we're all facing down that feeling of being replaced by automation. Has been little by little since the start of the industrial revolution. Only solace I can offer is that it's not just you, it's the whole of the world either dealing with it now or soon. I think it's going to lead to a better world in the end, but not without a lot of pain first. Do what you do for love, when you can do it. Don't push yourself too hard, take care of yourself first.

We're always here, if you have to take a break we'll all be here when you come back.

Seriously though, man, its all good. I love your art, if that means anything to you. Kiki does, too. Nothing wrong with your style at all. The fact that you have a consistent style to begin with is commendable. Not everything has to be ultrarealism in order to be good.
Keep at it when you can, and don't beat yourself up over it when you aren't in the mood to make art. You can't force it and you'll just ruin the enjoyment you get out of making things when you actually want to.

no worries champ, honestly i feel great about kiki and /pyon/ in general right now. we all have more productive and less productive times and that's totally fine. don't feel bad or guilty about it. take care of yourself properly first and creativity will happen because it's part of who you are. everything's gonna be fine and WAGMI.

also, let me share one of those things that seems obvious to some people but needs to be said explicitly, especially when people are feeling down: you're always welcome whether you're "producing" or not. everything you make that you put heart into, everything you make just because you like kiki and /pyon/ and your fellow champs, it's all good enough, it's all worthy to stand alongside any other works by anyone on the booru. lots of people enjoy what you make!

if you want to level up your draftsmanship skills, then do that, sure. we'll help however we can. i'm a shit artist and i don't draw regularly enough to actually get better, but i know a lot about how to improve and if you ever want commentary or critique feel free to ask as well. i like the stuff you make.

lastly, as far as you as a person, your being justifies itself. what i mean by that is regardless of any extraneous bullshit that clogs up your brain (not your fault - we live in a time where spiritual and psychological dysfunction is the natural response to our cultural context), you don't need to be "productive" to be allowed to live. you have to do stuff to get the means to live, yeah, but it's not a matter of good or evil and your "worth" as a person isn't determined by how many shekels you're able to mine for mr goldstein on a given day.

we appreciate you just for being a voice in the thread shouting out in support of kiki, a name in youtube chat, or a like on her tweet. this is just my opinion but i think what she likes, wants, and needs from us most of all is just support and pleasant company. and champy's champy. everything else is just icing.

Just went through a bad episode and didn't feel like drawing at all. Someone, who I now assume probably was joker schizo(?) sent some horrible stuff to me through various accounts right when I was at a low point and kinda pushed me over the edge.
I thought they really hated me but I realize it was probably more about hurting kiki.
