If cover were to pay for everyone to have checkmarks, they'd be pissing away $4750 every month(1k per month for the official hololive account, and $50 for a 75 members in the comapny), AnyColor would be paying over 10k a month just to give their members checkmarks. Even if they have members that could make the amount of pay for that, it's still a worthless investment that is just pissing away money that ultimately does nothing to help them.

Now the process isn't even remotely tied to "verifying the person is the real person." the colored checks for different types of things was actually a good idea, but the general system of paying $8 and then you're verified is insanely flawed since it has nothing to do with actually verifying your identity.
