It's at least a compelling read but the actual 'action' of the beating scene just felt empty and lacking of the rage and feeling that it's supposed to have. It tries to convey that the reader insert is pissed beyond belief through the actions and all caps use but the narration staying 'objective' makes it feel hollow, and while there's a part of me that thinks this may be intentional I'm pretty sure the author intended for it to be a traditional emotional climax followed by a twist ending.

I think Suisei would make a good mother eventually. If she is having a child she is either at the point in her life where shes okay with trading her dream for a family or she's capable of balancing both. She has a strong sense of responsibility and sincerity, making it so she would give it her all to raise her child successfully. However, she would need her husband to help her and guide her along the way since she can be a bit headstrong. Suisei would do much better in regard to motherhood after a second or third child when she has some experience under her belt. Depends, really. If it's largely set in political dealings and different country leaders fighting for power, I wouldn't be that interested. If it was done like Kingdom and set in ancient China or something, that would be better than a modern war setting, in terms of political struggles.
If someone were to make a modern military fic it would be far more interesting seeing the perspective of the soldiers on the ground, fighting for their lives. Maybe you could have Anon be a grunt assigned to a squad of chuubas, and he learns to love and protect them while going through the horrors and pains of being on the frontlines. He could start out as a private but achieve something great that turns the tide of the war and get commended as a war hero. Maybe after growing close to his teammates, he sees a way for a large battle to be won, and disobeys his superiors to lead his squad on a suicide mission to give their country a fighting chance. Man, I built on that so quickly. You could also take the special operations route and have Anon be part of a task force that works behind the frontlines, capturing terrorists and informants a la Call of Duty.

Noah or Tsuna are probably my favourites.
