Judging by the preassure the suits put on them and how much they invested in them I don't think that is true. They thought that they had 3 10k viewer livers on their hand and the EN market was theirs for the taking. Turns out giving indies the Nijisanji logo only adds 1k views to them.

Overlapping streams is such a dumb strategy, I don't get the point at all. Pomu has a job, so I understand she has time constraints, but there's no reason for Finana and Elira to start streaming either at the same time or while Pomu's stream is still ongoing. If they were spaced out properly each girl could reliably get 1.5k live minimum, instead of Pomu and Finana dipping into the triple digits.
Looking at HoloEN for comparison (times in JST), Gura streamed at 9am, then Mori at 1pm, then Ame at 2pm, then Kiara at midnight, then Ina at 5am, then Ame at 7am.
