kind of, what I was just trying was googling specific things that I couldn't figure out how to draw well, like checking how people hold their hands while snapping suspenders, & drawing an outline for myself on another layer, but the 3d aspect of taking a pose and doing it from the perspective I want messes with me. & When I want to be precise with my lines it's tricky as well since I zoom in to get them the way I want, and that also makes it hard to do perspective well. The sound you thought was similar to sewerslvt was just an amen break which is a commonly sampled drum loop in lots of different types of music, its not unique to breakcore. Breakcore means breakbeat hardcore so basically its just loud agressive music that makes use of intricately chopped breakbeats/drum breaks. Loli ripe's track technically falls under lolicore but thats a whole different thing to get into its more of a community or umbrella term rather than a genre Sewerslvt isnt really breakcore even though they get mislabelled as such constantly. Theres no hardcore element to their tracks and their break chops arent really complex or intricate. People describe it as atmospheric dnb but i also dont really agree with that. Someone should probably make up a new term for that sort of music. Anyways sewerslvt is a discord sister who steals other peoples tracks and grooms kids on discord. Today was a good day though, made saag paneer for the family and made some progress on area 5 of the WAD.

>For established methods, is there somewhere specific I should look, or is just googling "drawing anatomy steps" fine?

general advice:
- anatomy studies usually come a lot later, but looking up some anatomy as you work can help a lot with figuring out like "what the hell shape is the shoulder supposed to be here" or "what is her clavicle doing in this pose??"
- always use references
- multiple if possible
- there are general proportions/heights based on how old, young etc someone is supposed to look. for example, kiki-sized lolis are usually about 4-5 heads tall
- lots of figure drawing exercise reps (30 second gesture drawings and 2 minute quick sketch) will make it so you will eventually get better at drawing proportions correctly and how to capture the motion and energy of a pose
- when trying to draw the whole figure, one classical method is called the "envelope" method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwevjSTz2yQ (however i'm not sure how much i recommend this for drawing stylized stuff, i've never tried it for that)
- look for big shapes
- tracing is actually not a bad way to practice when you have no idea where to start. but it's about reps, reps, reps
- practicing individual body parts is not bad at all, just remember you have to practice putting them together as well

here a while ago to show the power of actually doing reps as well, i went from struggling to draw the "fun with a pencil" blooks to actually getting a couple portrait commissions in ~1 year before i gave up drawing

also i want to emphasize the most important thing to do for getting better at drawing is to nurture your desire to draw. don't burn yourself out trying to get better, make sure to have fun and do whatever you need to do to get excited to draw and keep drawing

I do it by adding a pretty arbitrary amount, testing a lot and then just experiencing if it feels too stingy or too abundant and then small adjustments.
Ways to spice it up is to have the ammo be guarded and try to ration it so that the player feels urgency to fight for them. For example initially giving only like 10 rockets and there's like 30 more rockets guarded by three barons so you need to spend it to earn it. If you're forced to chaingun/SSG them down because you splurged the rockets elsewhere, you get a very good nonverbal feeling that you probably didn't do it the intended way.
Your map is kind of big with multiple areas so this idea is less applicable but for a shorter map I also like having a concept on "which weapon is this map for?" and keep that in mind when designing the encounters and ammo. Most of my favourite maps are SSG-fests, I love that little guy. I see this as kind of an emergent philosophy of Doom because the weapon swap speed is kind of sluggish (and semi-suicidal depending on circumstances) so it encourages to have one reliable that is useful throughout a given encounter or fast sequence of encounters.

I really appreciate all these tips, I've saved them to reference later as well.
Here's a rep I just did for practice of just a head, since I've only drawn like 3 of them and anime head shapes & features are still a mystery to me. This pic is without any tracing, but I had to redo a lot of the outline curves multiple times to make them look right, & I have a lot of trouble figuring out how to add detail to Kiki's hair that looks good, so that's something I'm going to try later. As I'm typing this I glanced at the "nanora" pic on the booru and I think I'm gonna see if I can make a hair sheen like that look good. Generally though I think I just have a lot of trouble with outlines. Every time I draw I have to redo one of Kiki's ears at least once, and a lot of the time I think I make them kind of appear too far away from where her head actually is and it ends up looking dumb. Even just the position of the eyes, in this pic I feel like I put them way too high up but I didn't even spot it until it was too late.
