Seriously, fuck yes, finally Max Factory is actually making something good for the first time in years, and they're going by the whole generation.

Given that they usually don't extend out to full collection scope like Nendoroids however, it may not be good odds that they'll go through the other gens, although if they do, and they're going by overall popularity (3rd gen was obvious with two mil+, soon to be three) then I'd guess Gen 1 or the ENs are being looked at next.

FBK / Haato / Matsuri alone seem worth it as those are all super-iconic Holos and would make it mandatory. But yeah, it'd be pretty rough to either go only by-gen in which case you'd have to get Mel and Aki over with instead of say Sora and Miko for early Holos. Every gen has at least one runt, often two. Gen 0 is a weird ass mix too. I'd have thought they should have just made them in chronological order, but it does make sense to go right to the ones most-likely to sell crazy well the most consistently.

Gen 2 will be the tough sell because yes there's Aqua, but otherwise, not a lot of fire there. I like most of Gen 2 personally but if they're going off popularity that isn't gonna be the one to pick for a while. Although by pure sub counts they'd still come before Gens 4/5 I'd think.

if they do the entire cast in figma form, that is a whole lot of girls. imagine the giant dioramas some guys are going to have. personally i mostly want a suburu with duck accessories.

I like Figmas for the full body scale but I'm not sure if I prefer it over Nendoroids at this point. Figmas have gotten ridiculously expensive these days while cutting on accessories or putting in extremely gimmicky parts that only work with one pose/situation. Nendoroids meanwhile have maintained a better price and tend to come with more fun accessories
