It's the joy of being signed to a major music label. It's not unheard of for artists to get ~20% cut for their album sales (they get more for repackaged/compilation albums), and we don't know if Cover doesn't take anything from Mori's (low) cut as well. As far as concerts go, it's pretty much a universal thing that musicians earn more during concerts than they do from albums/singles and/or music downloads. However, the thing with JP record labels is that they also want to make extra money because they get the short end of the stick from concert revenues, so the idea is to sell as many dvd/bluray as possible where the performer gets jack shit. To put it simply, they're holding Mori as a hostage. She HAS to shill so they'd be willing to fund/organize her next concert. Holos that are not signed to such labels can mostly just fund it themselves, and have Cover be the intermediate company between the talent and event organizers. Admittedly, not all labels are the same, but Mori really fucked herself over with UMG.
