Not sure if you're still looking for tips, but I'll throw in my two cents anyway. My example is a bit rushed and I'm not much of a teacher, but I'll try to explain the best I can.

1.) Adjust the base colors so they have more harmony. Hard to explain the theory of this in just words, but even the "worst" color combo can look good when the values and saturation are adjusted. I don't think the green itself bad, just too de-saturated and dark. The colors used are still unconventional and might not appeal to everybody, but it's possible to use these colors and have it still look good. Another thing is the cape against the legs, the colors are too similar and blend into each other. I bumped up the saturation and brightness of the cape and changed the hue to be slightly more pink.
2.) Adjust the shading. Give the shading more saturation and adjust the hue so it adds contrast against the base color. This will prevent your design from looking muddy. (There are exceptions obviously, but since you said you liked bright colors, I wanted to keep it that way.) Add deeper shadows for objects that get less light. For example, the neck has a base shadow because it gets less light, then add a secondary shadow for where the head covers it. Did this with the legs as well.
3.) Color the line art. The shading is relatively soft, the lines are thin, and the colors are bright. Black lines will make the model's parts feel separated and disconnected with this art style. Similar to what we did with shading, adjust the hues and value of the lines (if you still have the original file that still has separate line art, just adding a clipping layer and mess around until you get something you like)
4.) Just a personal preference, but I added the cross hatching that's on the bottom of the cape to other accessories to add more unity.

Again, I didn't want to change too much because I don't want personal design biases to get in the way of what you want for your model. Design is very cute and I like the (´･ω･`) hair accessories btw. Also I'm not rereading what I wrote so uh...hope it's understandable.

Definitely try cel shading for 2.0, I think that style would suit your design better. Try experimenting with thicker lines as well. Coloring and line art similar to what GYARI used for VOMS would also suit. Don't get me wrong though, your art is very good! I just think this design in particular could benefit from an art style adjustment.

Anon, a debut is often either the most people you ever get because its the crowd peeking in at the "new" thing that never comes back or a party that nobody attends. Chuuba debuts are a big deal for corpos because the attraction is to see the "debut" of whatever the corpo in question has put up. You don't have a corpo behind you to pull eyes to a debut. If you feel like you need the introduction, do it, but odds are you may get a handful of eyeballs here on a selfpost and a handful (maybe) from a twitter push. Otherwise expect that debut to be an introduction VOD at the start of whatever streaming you plan to do. Don't bank on it as a grand event that you have to spend months planning. Just do it, or skip it and do a redebut or model reveal later.

That's probably doing to depend a lot on the particular artist but generally it helps to start with what the artist usually does. If they typically make assets and emotes, assume that they assume that's why you're contacting them and say "Hey I'm looking to hire you to do this stream asset for me. I'd like it to look such and so" or "I need x emotes with this style this character, etc"
You don't have to drop a whole moodboard on them in the first post, but certainly save both of you a lot of hassle by getting to business.

There were some tips about zatsu in the OpSec article in the general. Basically, prepare a list of ok/not ok topics beforehand. Fudge the details of your anecdotes a bit.
And yeah, there is some element of stream of conciousness if you want your zatsu to flow naturally. Try it slowly and sparingly in the beginning if you're a bit uncomfortable with that. Practice on your own, talk about something you've noticed recently or a TV show you've watched and see what comes out of your mouth.
