Kawaii seems to have very hands on management, kinda bullshit monetization and their numbers aren't that good.

So numbers do matter a lot.
I think we're at a point where being in a small corpo is not worth it unless you specifically want the perks of being in a small corpo and are willing to deal with their demands.
Perks? They help you make merch, might provide you with equipment(depending on the corpo), provide ads, tech support and a networking group of people.
But I've seen plenty indies do all of those things by themselves.
Burdens of small corpo? They will demand a weekly streaming quota, and shorts, and tweets, those are all good for growth so if you were an indie you'd want to do them anyway but a small corpo will force you to do them.
But you also lose on money.
Is it worth it? For some it is, for some it isn't.
I think potential corpo vtubers need to be aware of it.
Kawaii's range is 100 to 300 unless you are Nene then you go higher, but vtuber earnings are not based on CCV they are based on whales so that's another story.
This all also applies to NijiEN by the way, we've seen new members debut on the 500's range.
The days when a vtuber's dream was to join a corpo to go big are over.
