I dont know, seeing as I watch the chubbas that I watch because of their personality, and I don't know the personalities of the jp chubbas because I don't understand them. I would probably just continue to watch who I already watch, but be able to understand collabs better.

In a way I'm almost glad I don't really know Japanese. As it stands I watch very little if any EN vtubers because they don't interest me, mostly watching JP vtubers depending on the time of day and what they're doing. But if I actually knew Japanese proper, I'd not only end up spending a fuckton of time watching archives, I'd probably spend the remainder of my time watching hundreds and hundreds of JP indies. I would get sucked in and wouldn't have time for anything else.

I'm still studying Japanese but the more I understand Salome the better she seems, but she's still way too advanced for me. Her references are especially so on point sometimes. For me Korone has the same effect, weirdly enough. There's like a whole another layer to her that I wouldn't have picked up on without knowing the language even on a basic level. Kinda scary that some vtubers are straight up too hard to understand on this level. I'd say Mito and Polka give me as much trouble if not more.
