Part of my enjoyment of following a vtuber comes from interacting with other fans of that vtuber. Pippafags (and Phasefags in general) being annoying faggots killed most of my interest in watching her, and then she killed the last remaining interest I had herself by just not being very entertaining the few times I gave her a shot.
