There is a work in progress danganronpa/ace attorney type game called HoloTrials: Case Covered and also another fangame which plays like battle cats (tower defense game?). I can't find it since the dev is japanese but I saw it pop up on my twitter from time to time. There's also that smash clone, again another japanese dev. I'm surprised there's a lot of fangame out there albeit varying in quality.

ZUN never cared about profit, never cared about making Touhou a multimedia project, he never greenlit a 2hu anime despite studios begged for it and fans made their own TV quality anime OVA, he never over-obsessed with his copyright. All he cared was making his games and draw cute girls.
