It's clear to me that Cover is doing this to "help" the JP Holostars aka numberfag more, by killing any project that isn't giving them more numbers (Wachastars, Jump Uproar, StarKore, etc) and redirecting resources to projects that they think will give them more numbers (HolostaShorts). Update on that. Since he was asked during the Expo he will make it a goal to do more eigo in April. Not this anon but I think another potential but slightly more difficult avenue for Shien’s growth would be for him to take advantage of his seiyuu connections (especially Ishiya-san who also streams every now and then) and to try to invite them over to his channel at least once when their schedules are clear. It could potentially net him a unique audience whose first exposures to vtubers is through him.
Of course, some people might claim it’s cheating for a vtuber to rely on “fleshies” for growth but Haneru, Meika, and the rest of the mahjong people collab with 3dpd mahjong pros all the time and the entire FPS sphere hang out with flesh streamers all the time so in the end who cares what others say

I think shien is still a bit self-conscious about being surrounded by established seiyuus and, as astel (the member who has known shien the longest) claimed, has a bit of a shy side. Its a combination of things, not being comfortable knowing the person that you like can actually read it, other fans taking things the wrong way or out of context and replying which is made even worse by twitters text limits.
There also exists the mindset that you have to like everything that they do and even mild criticism is an anti and the whole representing your oshi and the fandom with your tweets belief so some people find it easier to just post in their locked accounts or use abbreviations for everything.
