Its sort of the same problem as the other RE Engine REmakes, they improve on some aspects and are a huge step down in others.
They're still fun experiences and complements to the original but definitely not replacements. If only Capcom would re-release an HD collection of the PS1 entries, maybe based on something like the GC/PC ports so they'd play
