Due to the crash firing the railgun causes the station to black out. Therefore it was shut down to prevent further damage. Until we get the materials to build the factories to build the parts to repair the railgun they are offline.

I thought I had that archived but I guess I don't. Also with an atmosphere existing it not only has nerfed the range and speed of the bullets it also causes the barrel to explode every shot. Wild thought, but if I tried making a website, that was kind of a country/government management sim for /vtwbg/, how do you all think it would play out? Would it even be viable?
I'm thinking that when you sign up you pick the country you belong to and start managing a small village that contributes to the whole country's resources. Trading would happen between countries etc.
It would probably be turn-based, kind of like civ, but everyone has one whole day to set up, and all actions/transactions/etc are executed at midnight.

There could be factors that decrease the efficiency of a country with more users. So they might have more population, but that population is more difficult to control, educate, keep happy. Similar to how it's harder to keep a larger empire from splitting.
Users from the same country could also compete a bit, even if not militarily, since they're drawing from the same pool of resources.

Era After anon here. Still busy with things, but now that there's a small lull for me, I might be able to craft more lore. I've been just finished a book about the Bronze Age Collapse and now rereading another book about the fall of the Roman Republic, so the ideas I've taken from those books about the world of the Era After are swirling around in my head. But before I do that, I'm wondering if I should try to flesh out the entire world before moving into sections of it rather than make up the world as I flesh out specific sections of it.

I see pros and cons to each approach. The pros to building a whole world before focusing on regions is that I can construct a "world state" in the way of knowing what goes where, and that I have a general outline that makes it easier for me to not contradict myself or make things vague. The downside to this approach, however, is that the map is more "set in stone", and wouldn't give as much room for future lore developments in the nations of the main timeline regarding regions and such. Not sure whether to keep my old approach or try a new "global" approach as I've described it. What does everyone think?

Especially since geophysical realities of the world are basically in place, even if all the cultures aren't as fleshed out. I don’t like talking about personal stuff here so here’s some ideas for gen 2 I have

Location: northwestern /vnug/
Its original population probably shares an origin with the ancient Ethernites and Penelites so they might’ve been part of the Ethernation that didn’t collapse when Etherna did, and later when people started migrating from the Symphoria valley during the Mujigae period many of the old guards ended up in Amoria’s place, which is also how they retained many of the pre-Mujigae /vnug/ magical tradition to fit Amoria’s theme. They might also have picked up something from castaway refugees when the main group were passing by the strait since I kinda like the chuubanite tattoo idea
The climate there is more temperate than most of /vnug/ so the land is probably more vibrant. The land itself is not as magical as the inland valleys but they’re more efficient in using magic so the culture is fairly magical. The gentle climate might also contribute to them being more bubbly and cheerful at least on the surface

Location: southwestern /vnug/
Its people probably came from the main refugee groups that landed in Palhalla and thus could be one of those people who left the place because they rejected the idea of becoming palkyries but also didn’t follow Mimir to the inland. Maybe they wanted to keep their maritime tradition? They also received a large amount of migrants during the Mujigae period and played a more militant role in the rebellion and formed a positive feedback loop in their cultural values
The climate is colder than other established settlements in /vnug/ which may or may not help explain their arguably more brutal values. Farming won’t really be possible unless I spec bio some grass for that but the sea is rich enough to sustain the population. Their maritime tradition also makes them effective raiders at sea. Other production they might have are mining if they’re by the riverside for tin mining, and I’m a bit tempted to spec bio some kind of large sheep-like animal for husbandry

Ah, if you put them there the Serafi will definitely be a brutal people. Whaling might also be an option, that can be a significant source of meat and other resources. Misanthropic angel is another theme ripe with possibilities, her lore video had a lot going on.

Gonna be lazy and use Django most likely. I was thinking about Flask because its more lightweight but this is going to require persistent storage so Im gonna need a database, and I hate writing SQL, so since Django has a really straightforward ORM interface I'm gonna settle for that.
