If people want to watch YOU they'll probably watch just about anything you play. That's not bulletproof, obviously. People tune out of Holos all the time after the 900th Apex or Valorant stream. That said, as long as you're either a specialist (extremely good at the game) or just avoid oversalting it by running the game into the ground, people will be more inclined to watch you play something you enjoy than to watch you play niche garbage just for the sake of novelty or variety.

That's a terrible metric to have when starting out, especially as a streamer. Not every stream will bring new followers and that's entirely not your fault. Twitch's discoverability is legitimate poo water if you're not already Affiliate. If you want consistent growth, your best option is to make content on other platforms and use those to link people to your Twitch.

Olga posted that she linked her stuff on a game's subreddit, which is a good thing. If she made a YouTube or TikTok (she probably did make a TikTok, I'm not sure) the algorithm on those websites for fans of the game would drive them to watch the video and a percentage of those would come to get streams.

Either pick a fixed time block and stick to it (that goes with setting your schedule and gives your audience an expectation. Alternatively, go until you find your attention or ability to juggle chat and game/content too difficult. Think of your stream duration like lifting weights. Go until just before your point of failure, then stop before you injure yourself. Fatigue streaming hurts longevity, hurts quality of content, and therein lives the Yab.

If you want me to just give you a number 1-3 hours is fine starting out. If you acquire an audience of any size they'll appreciate (and be impressed by) longer streams.

Most of what makes a short go viral around here is good base content (being entertaining) and dynamic subtitles. To start, just download DaVinci Resolve (the best free editing program), then watch the search results for "davinci resolve subtitles" on YouTube until you feel comfortable with it. Well shit, thanks anon, I wasn't actually expecting graphic design advice! I'll work that into my future schedules, but if you don't mind followup questions;

- I thought the shirt and BG backgrounds blending would be a good thing, since I didn't want it to be distracting. Ditch the flower background?

- As for colours, should I shift the pink closer to the blue in the word "schedule", since it's a compliment but contrasts well?

- Plates are easy enough, I just don't want to make eye-cancer. Subtlety was the idea, make the games themselves pop, but I do see that it's overwhelmingly one value and a few hues. hue

- Do you think I should do away with the boxes entirely and just gradient the pink into white with the text on that as a background? I'll also space them more, might get rid of the Discord tag since it's pretty irrelevant to a schedule, I just didn't want to be yet another server shiller.

Current image is a previous schedule, is that what you meant by align times and plates? I ended up thinking there was too much empty space to make it look good. Move them over a bit? Add something extra? What do you think?

Flowery background is all right, the thing that pisses me off is how obvious it is that the flower on your shirt and the background is the exact same and how your model and your background both have a lot of pink and white. Matching themes is cool, but matching both colors and shapes is too far. Shifting to blue might not be a bad idea. Maybe shifting to the same value in the plates will help too.

Well, I like that design so I think you're onto something. Value matching the plates but shifting the hue is definitely a good idea, but you'd probably be surprised to hear that the flower background actually isn't the same pattern as the shirt; the shirt is a default Vroid asset, the flowery BG is not. I suppose that just goes to show how pretty much any floral design looks pretty samey
