I dunno if you've done the calculations already of that figure, but if we go by the known/supposed cut for other holos then say from a total of $5k, after YT takes its 30% and Cover its 35%, $1750 goes to Sora. This is before Grorious Nippon Taxes folded 10,000 takes their due of course.
The google-tax of 30% appears to be a consistent gripe among all youtubers, virtual or otherwise, so the only question is does Sora get a better deal than the 50/50 split of what remains after yt's cut?

So from what's known the girls get more money from merch than anything related to yt (SC's, memberships, adsense etc.), because of yt's 30% cut of everything and of course Cover's own cut.
Merch is where the real moneymaking is if the holo decides to front up the cost of the merch themselves.
IIRC this is how it goes: if the talent fronts up the initial cost of the merch out of pocket then they reap the lion's share of the profits, which from old leaks can be MASSIVE (gorillions). They still owe Cover a licensing fee of course and a fee for managing the dealings with the merch producers and logistics etc. The other option is to have Cover front most of the bill of the initial production cost in which case the talent's share is much smaller or perhaps even nonexistent; probably the only option for newer talents unless they're already loaded before debut.
Obviously as soon as they start getting real numbers in their accounts they choose the former rather than the latter option.

Buying their personalized merch (from bdays and debuts), especially voice packs, is the best way to monetarily support a Holo. A SC which only serves to self-aggrandize, not so much.
IIRC a nijien girl was asked what was the best way to support a niji and it certainly wasn't merch. I think for them it's SC's and especially streamlabs if they have it.

Also from what I can remember hearing, the personal concerts Holos hold, whether they be free to view bday/anni Lives or paid ticket concerts like Watame/Suisei/Okayu have had etc., are paid out of pocket by the holo themselves. Hence the merch shilling after every bday and anniversary.
Have to recoup the costs of dance/singing lessons, hiring the other holo guests (or live bands), managerial fees, 3d studio fees, Cover licensing fees etc. Same goes for original songs and covers, all out of pocket. The exception in this case is for vsingers, only IRyS now, who get a substantial budget from Cover to produce music at the cost of creative freedom. Other holos can make whatever music they like but IRyS is forced sing what's given to her.
Since Sora's signed to record label I don't know what her deal is with bday/anni Lives that use her Victor licensed music, or what cut she gets from her paid for concerts.

That's right, as apparently admitted by niji's themselves.
Holo has this kind of generic merch too where I'd assume the cut is in Cover's favor (Summer, ERROR, "starter merch", stock post acrylic stands etc.) but at least holos have the option for personalized merch where they can make some real money. Livers apparently are not given that option.
The trick to seeing whether a holo actually gets a cut in something is whether or not they shill whatever it is on stream, and the frequency of the shillage. If they don't shill something at all, despite the merch being apparently about them, if probably means they're not getting anything from it or it's very minor.

Even if it's a whole company event like ERROR or holosummer, it's in their best benefit to shill it. It would be stupid to refuse to announce something that can bring you viewers and more sponsorships to the company. Even talents not involved in those event shill them.
You're talking from a talent vs the company mentality. Where the talent knows that the company is scamming them and they're just being an ass about it. That's not happening in hololive at this point at least.
There might be problems sometimes like IRyS' music being released without her knowing or given time to shill.
But overall, they seem to be working together.

I'd accept a big show where Sora is the headline act but there are still supporting acts. The kind of thing where she could invite friends of hers (including vtubers outside hololive) to perform with her. Holofes getting her there would be kinda lame, though Sora would probably still love it.

It was meant to be a SoloLive, not a full hololive fes. So I don't think it would count towards fulfilling her goal.
That said, her goal was set at the very beginning when there were other talents around. She has kept the same goal through the years but maybe she will change minds over time and a fes would be fine too
