I’m a smaller Vtuber who’s pc broke a few months back, still I’m determined. So I found a way to create content and I started on a short form content platform in the hopes that if I could build a small fanbase there I could also make longer YouTube videos and try to slowly build up a career that way since I can’t stream but I’m having no luck any serious advice for making Vtuber content and growing a fan base without streaming

Don't be a vtweeter, if you have a phone download any vtuber app slap your model into it and star making shorts or something, if you don't have a model search for a free one make some edits and you are good to go.
Tldr: don't think, just create content, any content.

I started on tiktok and recently expanded to twitter would shorts be better?

What sort of vtuber content do YOU want to see? If your content was made by someone else, would you watch it? Get in the mindset of seeing yourself from an outside perspective.

I think so. From what I have seen people on tiktok tend to stay there. If you are just mindlessly scrolling through content, you are not going to leave the app to follow someone on a different platform, whereas with youtube shorts you are already there. It's just one click to see your whole channel, and with that pretty much everything that you have to offer. Being active on twitter is good as long as you actually make content. Just be careful about who you associate with. Disregard twitter freaks, they will just stab you in the back.
How long have you been at it? Have you been networking? Do you fill a specific niche?

To answer the question of if I create content I’d watch; yes. Admittedly I have more passion and creativity then motivation at this point. I don’t know about filling a niche but, I assume so because if I shift my content on tiktok my views which aren’t crazy drop to almost zero. I’ll try uploading on youtube shorts and videos more but, admittedly I understand it’s algorithm far less

>Content creation
I don't like these 2 words joined together

Is there any other way to call it? I don’t know how else to describe it?

is literally impossible for small streamers to grow unless they get lucky with content creation or someone who is bigger notices them and likes them and starts raiding and stuff like that happens some times actually. More so with musicians I notice and art streamers. Not so much in the Gaming categories. Art Streamers support each other more it seems. so make 1 video upload a week or 2 , every week. Must stay consistent it is the only way.

What do you mean as content? Like what mediums can you use? What topics you will discuss?

>> No.45370316

one thing i noticed is most ppl from Twitter will not go watch your streams unless they were already following your streams first then follow you on twitter, New twitter followers rarely go watch streams. Instagram and Tik Tok will get you more ppl watching. Youtube shorts do not seem to be doing much either. my vtuber friend gets a couple thousand views on every short, he's really funny. and no from youtube comes to the streams or even follows him. It's hard as a Vtuber man. not easy. I think ppl that watch youtube shorts just scroll right to the next short and rarely follow ppl from watching them. You will get more traction Streaming and uploading to Tik tok and Instagram. But also do youtube shorts, it's still fairly new right.

Smart content creator know you gotta repost on as many socials as you can. Use a social media dashboard application that can simplify uploading content to multiple platforms and grow your audience simultaneously.

If you get big on one platform but you're not in another, other people will just steal your content and repost on the platform you're not in and reap the benefits, so might as well do it yourself.
