Who are the failed and retired /asp/ies? You never hear from them for obvious reasons, but I sort of wanna know who just stopped streaming for one reason for another. I wanna check their vods or channels to learn from their mistakes.

How do you guys feel about using AI art as your model? Controversy aside seems like a good way to shortcut a lot of the process.

If you aren't an artist then all you have to do is learn cutting and rigging, or just cutting if you want to find a rigger instead.

I had the microphone working nicely previously but I'm on a new computer now and it's not behaving very well again. I don't know anything about audio so I'm just fiddling with levels and seeing what it changes.

Finished today's FEAR 2 stream. I couldn't have censored THAT scene even if I wanted to because it's actually fragmented, with every part being incredibly short and happening between larger segments of the final fight.
For some reason, I remembered it as just one continuous scene. I probably mixed the actual version with some Youtube version that spliced all the fragments together.

I'll be honest, I have absolutely no interest in your content and I don't think a good majority would be very interested in a vtuber that covers philosophy or history would be very mainstream. It was pretty hard to follow for someone who isn't keen into that type of topic.
BUT.
Don't let that discourage you, and you'll probably have a lot of people here or elsewhere say that it isn't interesting. There's going to be a niche for everything and the cool thing with niches is that you'll always have a more dedicated audience than general or variety streaming. Also, you have a nice accent and I think it could work pretty well with the model you're going with. Maybe make the suit or your outfit a bit more unique or something that would make it more identifiable than just a normal suit, like a lanyard or something, and holding a book/clipboard or something? The mic is "okay" at best, but it's fine if you're just starting out since the most important part is just getting started. A lot of people will delay their actual streaming because they want things to be absolutely perfect. Try messing with a few filters on OBS, move the mic closer if it's fuzzy or unclear, etc. I think you could have a unique streaming type similar to the guy in this thread who focuses on coding rather than just general gaming.

I agree with you both that the content is not even remotely mainstream. Philosophy is definitely one of the heavier topics on my list, but things such as history books, plays and perhaps the odd more modern book which I also hope to cover should meet a wider audience.
