it's not even like all the talents aren't down to banter or against jokes aimed at them, I made a joke about my EN oshi's appearance based on something in stream which they laughed at and it got made into a thumbnail, even then a couple fans expressed dislike that kind of joke even though it was all in good fun, I guess EN fans got really scared hearing about schizo JP antis/fans and really didn't want to be perceived like that so they only suck up to the girls and are never anything that could be interpreted as negative and that just kind of became part of the EN culture, which I think sucks some of the most fun to be had with vtubers is bantering, a bit of back and forth is always fun
