While also showing the complexities of the situation overall which I appreciate as such complexities are forgotten too much. What is your next plan? I see the war has seemingly started but do you plan on still building the complexities or going into it. Love Sasaki as a character a lot, and all of them are quite interesting!

Do you need work done on your new map from me also? I do not quite understand what an Iridisian is! HOWEVER, i think i can make sense. It's NijiEN, no?

The navy has a lot of issues here because legally, they should have done something but the by-law doesn’t clarify if its foreigners or internal threats and Yamashita negotiated with the commander since the naval commander at the moment would rather have just stayed out of it. Furthermore, they are loyal to the Emperor first but they are also supposed to be loyal to the shogun too. Nothing like this has happened since they were formed so its not an easy place for them to take a side as its far from clear cut.

>Mama mama, is it ready yet?
>Patience little Peona, a good sauce takes time.
>Stop bothering your mom while she cooks.
>But daaaad, I'm hungry!
Looks like dad has drawn the wrath of Peona, and Azulie can bring her attention back to the bubbling pot. A pioneer's life on the path isn't an easy one, but she's happy to help make a small part of it easier. The thick soranese meat sauce is coming to life, the cream Azulie just injected shifting its shade from a deep purple to a pale lilac. The acidic blue fruits they'd resupplied with at the fledging pekoran colony lacked the sweetness of the bright red tomatoes she was used to, but they brought those subtle flavors of sage and taragon everyone seemed to enjoy.
It was nice to get some fresh ingredients to work with.
Azulie lifted the hermetically sealed pot from the induction circle, looked at the delicious sauce one more time through the glass lid, and plugged the pot's side-port to the pasta extruder, which started sucking the warm sauce into its piping. Cooking in zero-G brought some difficulties, but with the right equipment it was really no problem. The requirement that no floating crumbs or droplets be created meant that all utensils had to be washed automatically, no washing up sinks to do, which was nice.
>Ahh the machine is spitting the spaghet! Look dad look!
The azkian spaghetti extrusion always excited Peona. The tubular glutenous starwheat came out of the machine into a bag, each pasta filled with a core made with the fresh soranese sauce. Looked a bit like a hotdog machine. Azulia filled three smaller bags with her family's dinner, and sent the remaining stuffed spaghetti to a larger bag for a latter meal.
>Alright, Peona, Dad, dinner's ready!

/morig/ has one, but instead of being a memory from a mythical past, it's a figure that lies in the future. The Last Deadbeat, standing alongside Mori after dealing their Destined Death to all other Deadbeats, and to all of Mori's enemies, kneeling on the mountain of bones next to our Mori, having become almost an Angel of Death himself. An ideal to strive towards.

Depends on whether you're looking at the sci-fi or fantasy setting. Space setting has literal pig luknight variants and the stories would be more geared towards the idea of showcasing valiance and loyalty on the battlefield and earning the title of a luknight even if you weren't born a luknight. In the Fantasy setting a buknight is just a piggish luknight or a perverted or dishonorable luknight so their journey could be one of denying their dishonorable urges for the greater good during a time of crisis and showing respectable self control in the presence of cunny or other temptations, or having them fight valiantly despite being a bunaito to show that even the lowliest of luknights has the courage and honor necessary to protect their own.
In both cases, the frog to prince metaphor of marrying someone you might not love and being rewarded with a cultivated love or inner beauty doesn't really transfer completely, I see it more as never underestimating the lowest hanging fruit.

In lands both far and wide,
The luknights doth abide.
In space they soar,
On the battlefield they roar.

For some, born into the name,
For others, a path to claim.
Valiance and loyalty on display,
Earning their title on the way.

But in the world of fantasy,
A buknight is something else entirely.
Piggish and dishonorable, they say,
Fighting for redemption each day.

Their journey, a test of will,
To resist temptations and show skill.
To fight for honor, despite their lowly state,
And prove their worth on the battlefield's gate.

No frog to prince, but a lesson learned,
To never underestimate, the lowest hanging fruit yearned.
For even the lowest luknight, can show courage and grace,
And rise to the occasion, when called upon to face.

So let us not judge, by birth or name,
But by deeds and honor, the luknights claim.
For in space or fantasy, they all aspire,
To protect and serve, with valor and fire.

Yeah, I don't think it was ever canonized in lore in any real detail despite it being a cool idea. We should maybe look at that again since water recycling would be extremely useful in space (if a bit disquieting), especially so if the recycled piss water could have other positive alchemical effects.
I think the Horni concepts can't really work without it going into full on erotic worldbuilding, and while that's fun, it could easily veer into freakshit perversions. Might be nice for some short lore scraps or stories though

>> No.45130249

Desu recycling piss into drinkable water is less a wacky fetish thing and more like something basically any space-based society would have to do, given water is rare and weight at a premium. It just makes sense to recycle waste water.
Which could be interpreted as space exploration being inherently /ringo/-friendly.

I suspected as much, but I do like the idea of a ringo alchemist being able to add additional effects onto the water through their alchemy. Amidst the Empire's central lands,
The Edict of Loyalty, a fiery brand,
Provoked the anger of the great daimyos,
And Fusanosuke Higuchi led the foes.

His hatred for Harumitsu, burning bright,
Fueled his revolt with all his might,
His charisma drew in others from the centre,
The "Big Five" stood strong in opposition, a new venture.

Their voices raised in defiance,
Against the demands of the Shogun's reliance,
Harumitsu's mistakes as a diplomat now haunting,
And his incompetence certainly not helping.

In this battle of wills and words,
The fate of the Empire hangs in the balance,
But one thing is clear amidst the discord,
Loyalty, though demanded, cannot be forced.

In Hirosaki, the five did meet,
To plan their stand, their move to beat,
But disagreements caused a rift,
As they struggled to find their gift.

Higuchi, loud and full of pride,
Wanted to march, and not to hide,
To overthrow the Shogun's seat,
And take control, with force so sweet.

But others thought this was unwise,
To take on power of such size,
Yuuki proposed to block the way,
And wait for better times to play.

Makaino and Hoshikawa,
Suggested to pause, to see and draw,
While Shiina's thoughts were quite unique,
Inviting a friend to hear them speak.

Yet still no solution could be found,
As days were ticking with no sound,
Higuchi threatened to depart,
If they couldn't find a way to start.

The tensions high, the pressure's on,
The five must choose before they're gone,
To fight or wait, to leave or stay,
And make their move, or plan their way.

Volcanoes need some sort of pressurized liquid and gas to erupt from a crust's weakspot. I mentioned frozen volcanoes before. There's even cold water geysers on Earth. Tectonics are a huge player as plates colliding creates weakspots easier. A shitty movie called Volcano theorized about how California's fault line could spawn a volcano. Then again the movie is very inaccurate with how volcanoes actually work. If a volcano erupted in LA then everyone would either be dead from the explosion or buried under hot ash and cinders.

Look upon him and understand where he came from, know him by the hue of his skin and the paleness in his eyes. This is the /lig/ger, the stoic, the devout, the comical. The blue men of the west whose reach streches across the world and prods and pokes at borders with divine providence, the men of /lig/ and by that same class the keepers of the /lig/gian faith.
/lig/'s first prophet was a man whose name is lost to the annals of history save for the title of Ligma, the title of which still holds presidence and status today amongst all who dwell in the lands of /lig/. It is said by some that Ligma came to the land where /lig/ now stands in despair, his faith in the corponic pantheons eternally disillusioned, others say that Ligma always knew of his destiny and walked the path accordingly without pain or sorrow, while others yet say that Ligma was a blind and deaf man who knew of no divinity and no love in the world. No matter his true origins, the expanse of divinity revealed itself to Ligma where he stood and an ancient phrase of power echoed through the roots of every tree and caused the air to tremble and twist at its power, Ligma penned his divine revelations and so it was that the Book of Lig was authored and spread about, uniting those that could be united and making known the shared divinity of those large indies and the charge of Ligma was maintained to protect the devouts of /lig/ and to bring up great places of worship and celebration for the /lig/ger and his loved and so it was and so it shall always be that the Ligma holds station over these things.
The Ligma is the highest council of authority in the lands of /lig/ though they are one of quiet and contemplation, the Ligma rules indirectly and in each region of Lig is a representative of the Ligma known as the Ligma Boz who holds authority in regards to the matter of maintaining the peace between different /lig/gian tribes and defending against the foreign accostment which is known to occur in lands marred by the scent of the schizo. It is said that after some time, the Ligma will retreat totally and meditate on the revelations bestowed by the original Ligma and that they will understand and, in so doing, come apart like dust and sand in the wind at the immensity of the secret unraveled, at which point, the new Ligma is chosen by edict of their will or lacking that, chosen from the many /lig/ tribes in a grand poll though the latter is rare and violence often comes with it.
The ligger is an ethnic identity within /lig/, one that makes up a large percentage of the total population and which works to fully construct and understand the pantheon of /lig/. Their skin is a hue of blue that varies in pitch, and their eyes are pale and sometimes even clear depending on their age. They are a well built people with most of a peak physique and dense musculature, which they will need in their long life to come for the /lig/ger is a working man and their devotion to the collective goddesses of /lig/ is one many come to kneel towards and which has gained the ligger men much praise for the ligger crafts a new artwork or devotional crafting to their pantheon and presents it to the heavens each coming dawn. The /lig/ger promotes their chuuba to far off lands and prides themself on the knowledge of the many facets of /lig/gian divinity. They are tradesmen and scholars, though while they are powerful, they are known to lack a taste for conflicts. Thus, it is that the /lig/ger, on average, is a man of unity and peace who would rather break bread than bone. A last notable peculiar feature of the /lig/gers is the very low count of females in their ranks, which might explain their general subservience to the other ethnic races that share divine ethnologic traits with their /lig/ goddesses.
It is to be noted that a /lig/ger and a /lig/gian are not synonymous as while a /lig/ger is always a /lig/gian, a /lig/ian is not always a /lig/ger.

Amidst the rubble and decay,
A small creature scavenged away,
Cackling to itself, it proclaimed,
"I won, I won, I beat them all, tamed!"

Its twisted arms, malnourished and frail,
Carried black goo to its gaping maw without fail,
The oily substance, its precious treasure,
Consumed with fervor, beyond all measure.

With each gulp, the jet black horn,
Pulsed grotesquely, like a devil's spawn,
Puffs of black smoke, in the air they rose,
As if from its very soul, they arose.

Nearby sat a Sanallite, smoking a cigarette,
On a marble piece of debris, he was set,
Glancing at his companion, the armored man,
Noting their similarities, a thought began.

"You two are not that different," he spoke,
Pointing to the cigarette, with a knowing stroke,
Chuckling, the man agreed with a grin,
Dropping the butt into the oily puddle, he did win.

In this ruined hall, amidst the destruction,
A strange camaraderie formed without instruction,
Between creatures and beings of different kinds,
A bond forged in the aftermath of chaos and binds.

Mycology anon? I wonder how many times I've posted "I miss mycology anon" over the months kek. You want to use the .org extension, not .co. That'll trigger the filter. Let me know if you have any /morig/ questions.

My technological illiteracy is my downfall once again. I have fed Novel.AI all of the archived writing you have posted about /morig/ so I can ask it questions about the lore as an experiment for the future but I'll be sure to send some questions your way. Trying to take a more creative writing approach to this one before I go mushroom nerd so let me know what you think.

Ah, AI is getting pretty popular. I like to think I could answer questions more effectively, but AI has surprised me a couple times recently.
I love all the little cultural details you packed into this, mentions of tribes, funeral rites, folk history. Albus is a good deadbeat, welcoming but aloof and mopey, as Tully says.
>"Us? Albus you haven't been indoctrinated into some death cult in the short time it took us to cross the sea over here did you."
That made me laugh pretty good.
Also, that bag of stones drew my attention. Are they meant to be magic? Chuubanitic stones would make for a nice talisman on Moriji, I like it.
Looking forward to more.

I've been mainly experimenting with it to see if it has applications for public use, if you were to feed an AI all of the archived writings about Vitubia could it produce lore accurate short stories? Or recount events with specific dates. When I started writing I felt like I had to lurk for months before writing anything so I didn't step on toes, if I had an AI that could provide all the info I wanted in one place that would have made this more approachable.

BUT it would take away some of the magic as well, there's value in the lurker to poster transition that would be lost, anyways.

I recently went down the rabbit-hole of giant mythology in mesopotamian cultures and was thinking of what an artifact would be for deadbeats that would fit culturally. My thoughts were bones of deadbeats once much larger than those of today that have been rounded in stone-like shapes, and due to their density compared to normal bone Prof. mistook them for stones. These may be magical in some sense but I intended entirely for them to be used as offerings for safe passage/use in some sort of religious ceremony.

As for fungi I was planning on a pale white almost translucent ghost mushroom that is bio-luminescent, these would be poisonous to outsiders but delicious to deadbeats from forested areas. A lichen as discussed months ago that is found on the carcasses of dead animals/people and is found in arctic/high altitude climates. If you can think of some others I'll elaborate on those but for now I'm brainstorming some other ideas, as well as the magical properties that these may have.

Ohh, neat idea! The titanbeat is (or well, was) real. Such bones would definitely be rich in both magic and religious meaning. Maybe some other such artefacts could also comes from animals, Moriji has a fair bit of hard-boned megafauna.
The mushrooms sound fun, glowing ghost mushroom is a good aesthetic. I also remember that carcass lichen.... Vaguely kek. Lot of high mountains to have high altitude mushroom in on Moriji. Bless mycology.
