That only works when there's a language barrier like the original explosion. JP clips translated to English. It grows the audience and exposes it to new people. But so many of these EN clippers don't do shit. They're literally subtitling EN clips IN English (often WRONG at that because they're ESL and can't listen for shit). It doesn't expose the chuuba to any new audience besides that which already exists.

With that said, I think timestampers are far more altruistic compared to most clippers since they keep people within the streams and away from clips that might remove context.
