She is nothing but a display piece at this point in time so Cover can go "Look, the most subbed to YouTube Vtuber there is!" Likewise, she uses that status along with the desperation of her fans for attention from her "tee hee I'm a cute little loli" to milk money from stupid fans while doing absolutely nothing.

It's looking that way, but I wouldn't blame Gura alone. Niji just absolutely flooded the market with mid level talents. VShojo roped in all the whores, but eventually that gets stale. Cover focused on better quality people, but they are so lax in management enforcement of absolutely anything.

Those things combined killed the market. It's EXTREMELY hard for any indie to break into the market, but the companies just aren't good enough to actually do anything proper so people are starting to leave.

My guess is they would. But they don't need to because every Hololive talent brings in a profit, some far more than other of course. The problem with the talents that never stream is that they're usually the ones who are pretty popular and bring in a large amount of passive income through things like constant merch sales and a high number of memberships. So Cover have no reason to mind.

The only way fans can truly win is if somehow Cover enforced a weekly number of streams quota or something. But it's too late for that now.
