It may well be that even under Cover's splits, a larger percent of your money reaches the talent with streamlabs (ID only I guess) or voice packs. Merch can still have a lower cut and be far more profitable.

If it's profit sharing, merch with a 200% margin, then 33% of your money goes to the cost of production and 67% is split in some way between the company and the talent. Let's say that's 70-30 in favor of the talent, that's less than 50% of your money.

The lower the profit margin under a profit split, the less percent of each dollar goes to the talent. A revenue split is likely much less generous and below 35% revenue is no better than superchats. It all depends on exact numbers, I could set Pomu's cuts being identical to Hololive and her statement still being true.
