As always, everyone missing the actual straw that broke the camel's back: she fucked up during her FFXIV stream mentioning 3rd party mods that Square Enix is autistic about. SE has been ESPECIALLY nuts recently, banning high profile users who are just suspected of using mods and stuff. Guess what everyone in NijiEN has been excited about recently? Square Enix perms they just got. Imagine Zaion, who was already on thin ice at that point, had lost Square Enix perms for the whole company? Despite having been disciplined already for not complying with JP standards. Management was probably swearing bullets and proactively reassuring SE it was going to be taken care of. Would you risk Square Enix perms on a brand new liver who had been repeatedly crossing boundaries and was disdainful about the whole JP corpo culture?

It's called over saturation. Niji releases so many talents that nobody cares or is interested in new debuts. It took this drama to discover Zaion: only to find out she's a Gundam 00 fan and an Old School FE fan. There is no Deadair during her streams, she is enthusiastic and interacted with chat like she was an Indie while being in a Corpo. Niji really messed up with her and she has the potential to be an amazing talent after her redebut.
