Playing through the VN, so far got Nina's ending I signed the contract :(, Feesh's ending, and Pomu's OTHER ending.

The written humour most of the time is great, and I've been screenshotting lines I find hilarious, but occasionally I find it slips into the kind of ironic weeb humour that annoys shit out of me, though thankfully that's kind of rare. I never thought I'd say the visual gags of a VN would be worthwhile but Anon's kitchen being some Oma's cabin in rural Poland despite everything else being modern is funny.

The endings themselves seem to try and tread a line between heartfelt, comedic, and sexual, and I don't think it works too great sometimes. Like Feesh's is cute relatively speaking, ignoring the step sibling cop out that angers a pure incestfag like myself, and her coddling her eggs sounds adorable, but the Alabama joke is a little uninspired to really drive it home. Nina's is probably the best executed of the three I've seen, with her being a lonely cake done alright and charming her mother with parkour videos, but the smut tends to miss the mark both being too short and a little uninspired sometimes.

I'll update again when I've finished the other routes, but this is still pretty good so far.

I just want to add to the VN discussion since last thread probably died before anyone could read much of it. I have to say that while I slightly agree with the humor becoming too much at times, I have to say that the character voices are top-notch. Putting aside accuracy as I'm not well-versed enough in Nijis to comment, every character feels distinct and adds to the scene. The choreography adds to the character as well.

It doesn't but broken horns create a really striking visual metaphor that also works in prose as it's also works great at representing defeat/loss and shattered pride. It's also really hot in the doujins especially as it's kind of like a soft gore where it has all the mental implications without anything weird happening to the hot body of the girl.
It's completely fantastical but it fits right into the 'assumed chuuba setting' of modern day but a bit more magical/strange.

Some of the character's voices came easier than others, but all of them came through pretty strong. Frankly, I think most all of Lazulight, Obsydia, and Ethyria have a very strong and established personality, which makes it easier to understand, emulate, and work with.
Also, since it's a VN, there's a lot more focus on dialogue, meaning character voices carry the narrative. As opposed to actual raw writing, where you would have to fill in the gaps with scenic descriptions, which creates less of a focus on the characters. It's interesting and different I suppose.

An often neglected part of VNs, but a certain advantage of using the medium. It took a lot of times to tweak everything to be exactly where I want it, but it was pretty fun, like being a stage director.
