I don't think I've really seen it in this thread, but why do people on this board keep trying to present "streaming over each other" as a bad thing? I don't think a given vtuber should be forced to change their schedule just because another vtuber, who their viewers might not even be subscribed to, is streaming at the same time. That's part of the appeal of vtubers, you have a buffet to choose from at any given time.

If there's a lot members in that group, it is understandable to overlap each other because there is too many members that its hard to distribute their stream schedule and their free time to stream overlapped each other.
But for the case for fewer members (and especially if they are new) its better to try not to overlap so that your community as whole can see all your individual contents and to concentrate the viewers in one stream at a time, so your viewers know what their contents is about (and finding who's favourite is really)
Like for example Niji ID when the first wave debuted, they try not to overlapped each other because their community is smaller so its better to concentrate them at one stream and also give spotlight to each of them, they didn't overlapped too much until wave 3 hits and at that point, their members count is way bigger and their community somewhat stabilized on early to mid 2020 where they already have their own viewers that who want to watch them.
Another case is like Niji EN, I'm not saying its a bad move but personally its hard for me to concentrate in two or three stream at once and I want to know what their personalities and content look like, but you will say "hey, you can watch VOD or clips for that" yeah, I know but sometimes I'm lazy to go back to their vods to watch the entire 2-3 hours of it, I would just look at timestamps on comment and clips etc but what if they missed something that I want to know about? maybe like an obscure game that the vtuber told or some weird quirks of them but no one point that out etc.
I get that its part of the appeal, choices of many vtubers with various personalities and contents etc but what if you want to try all the buffet first so you know what you like but instead they came at the same time, your stomach is not enough to gulp all of them at that exact moment that's what I felt about it.

Those are all fair points, however I feel it's also worth mentioning that if you consider Nijisanji in its entirety and not as the separate branches, I would say that makes it less of a big deal that they're overlapping because Nijisanji is so big that they're always going to be overlapping with someone.

as for wave 5; most of the time, they tended to stream in the morning after their debuts so there were less conflicts.
