Ive analyzed a lot of data from males on the now dead /mvp/ general, so I am pretty confident that the number for males is 1 in 10 or even less for males that eventually make it to consistent double digit average ccv. I managed the spreadsheet there for many months and it was quite rare for somebody to go from 1view to 2 view, and there were a ton of 1 views that I was monitoring. Out of the 80 actively streaming 1 view males that I kept track of, probably like 5 of them were promoted from 1 view to 2 view in 4-5 months I was actively keeping track of it. I can go into more detailed analysis for you though if you have any more detailed questions.

I never looked at female data as much, but I wouldn't be surprised if 50% or more get to 2 view status. At least if you filter out those who stream for less than a month before quitting. Just based on kind of a surface level monitoring of asp and rare watching of wvt. I cant give you nearly as firm an estimate on this though.

Yeah it kind of depends on how you count it statistics wise. I always used average ccv based on the sullygnome stats. But I think the /#/numbers thread usually uses max ccv to count stats and classify people by digits of viewershipr for some reason. If you count it like that, I would estimate something like 1 in 4 males eventually regularly hit 10+ ccv on a stream. But I think its a dumb way to count viewership especially on twitch where raids are such a big thing.

And if you count it like that, probably something like 9 out of 10 females eventually regularly hit 10+ ccv a stream.

Im not entirely sure what you are getting at, but I will say that I suspect males that pander to females do very slightly better in the long term. Most long term growth seems to be through reaching a female audience. Though in my entire time maintaining and adding to the spreadsheet I did not really witness any kind of "miracle" growth of any particular 1view. There was rarely any kind of huge jump in viewership that lasted very long. Most if not all of the 2views I had on the list were streaming at least 6 months before getting there, and usually it was quite a bit longer than that.

Growth with 1 view males seems to be very much a slow methodical process where long hours and dedication lead to very small and usually difficult to notice gains in viewership. I wish there were some kind of shortcut to quick growth, but from what I have seen there is none especially on twitch.

Fem chuubas are pulling off a certain audience that wants company. While male chuubas need to cannibalize either the SEA BFE market or normie fleshtuber spaces.

I'll just say, of all the 1view males that I have tracked over time one of the very few that stood out to me strategically and numbers wise was this guy youtube.com/@UntaKilatVtuberCh

He streamed for quite some time with very little to no growth on twitch, but then started doing YouTube what looks like almost exclusively. And more importantly the unique thing he did was that he dedicated basically all his YouTube stuff to one particular fandom (in this case 40k) to honestly pretty astounding success. He's probably the most successful aspie male in the last year easily just judging by his YouTube numbers.

It's just one data point, so it's not the easiest to extrapolate a ton of lessons, but I'll do my best anyway.

So in general, if you want big numbers as a new male here would be my general advice.
1. Choose youtube, twitch has been shown to be so difficult to grow on that I really can't recommend any male stream there.
2. Give up on variety streaming, it really fuckes up your chances with the algorithm on youtube. Dedicate your channel to large already established fandoms. This is probably the hardest thing to do, and nobody here likely wants to, but I think it is your best bet for actually getting good numbers.
3. Use memey shorts and longer edited content in order to get your channel recommended to random people on YouTube who are interested in your content. Then after you have some subs you can start streaming the content that you have dedicated your channel to.

I think some of you new aspies would have a real shot at getting big if you do this, I like Unta but even he is fairly debuffed with his accent and I don't see why some of you guys couldn't replicate what he did if you put the work and effort into it.

Yeah this seems to be a very good way of doing it. Unfortunately i lose interest in everything after like 2 weeks so this way is not sustainable for me. I never belonged to a fandom or community I'd go insane after a while. I'd hate to stagnate too. Over the year I've been streaming I've constantly improved my stream by pushing new ideas. Improved tracking, improved audio, better IRL setup, i even got my setup ready for streaming as a vtuber outdoors (model in AR or on screen with tracking). It's just too much fun playing around with the idea of streaming.

Pleasing a fanbase that just want 1 type of content seems to be the worst and would kill enjoyment. Unironically the most popular streams I had were RO streams because i was one of the few that could speak proper English and i still would be, but after 2 weeks of talking non-stop about the game i burned out. I got up to 15-20 CCV organically from twitch, but they all left the moment i stopped RO. I knew this was gonna happen but I'm not killing my own enjoyment for some viewers. I'd rather just stream to nobody.

There’s a reason why people prefer Twitch over YouTube and it’s because growing is 10x easier there. You can clearly see on his videos that his VOD views are very inconsistent. Some get lots of views but the ones that aren’t part of his niche drop like a bag of bricks. On Twitch you will always be seen live no matter what and there IS an algorithm that recommends you. Switching to YouTube is a death sentence unless you grow your channel first. I don’t know whether the person behind this post is an actual streamer or not but I’m speaking from experience here.

I’ve grown organically on Twitch to more or less 100 CCV. It is possible if you know what you’re doing. You need to understand that growing a YouTube channel takes just as much effort, if not more, as growing a Twitch channel. And I'll agree, if all you are doing is hitting live and streaming a variety of games or zatsu or whatever, twitch is a bit better than YouTube. (Also although I have not spent nearly the same amount of time analysing females as I have males, twitch does seem far superior to YouTube for females no matter their strategy)

I recommend YouTube mostly only in this specific case where you devote yourself to producing content for one specific fandom while also producing both shorts and videos.

The reason I bring this up is because after observing tons of different new twitch male vtubers I just can't see a good path toward even getting to be a 2 view in 6 months, and that is just way too damn slow in my opinion. Variety streaming on twitch as a male is just way too oversaturated for me to recommend anyone doing if having numbers actually matter to them. YouTube is certainly more of a gamble and unproven than twitch for sure, but I'll just put it this way, if there was a way for a new aspie male to get 100 average ccv in 6 months there is just no way in hell it could happen on twitch. No matter how entertaining one was, or how much work they put in, or the strategy they use, it just seems to be proven impossible on twitch. With YouTube there at least appears to be a chance to absolutely blow up if you apply the correct strategy work hard and are talented, on twitch it just seems like the best case scenario is a long and gruelling slow grind no matter how good you are. I've just seen too much time, hard work, and talent wasted on twitch for very little return.

It's gotten so much harder to get an audience even in just the last 6 months, let alone the last 2 or 3 years, that I think that a rethinking of conventional wisdom is really needed. I was wondering how do you do smooth scene transitions for the audio? I just want my first scene's audio (an intro mp4 video with music) to fade before the second scene's audio (the game I'm streaming) begins.

Instead, the two scene's audio overlap a bit when I switch between them. And it's kind of annoying.

We're working on getting the team set up but we need thread input. Every team needs a distinct color scheme so they stand out on the pitch. However, I don't really know what colors best symbolize /asp/. Give ideas!

Also, we need a team Anthem. Typically this is any sort of song that best describes or summarizes the board as a whole. Some boards just pick songs they collectively like, some threads pick their oshi's most popular single. /jp/ as a board, has an original anthem that's been posted for years. Reply to this post with ideas for the /asp/ divegrass anthem that plays when the team walks out onto the field and after we inevitably beat /morig/.

I haven't worked out our player positions yet so I'll hold off on requesting ideas for individual player goalhorns but keep in mind we're allowed a certain budget of tracks to play to celebrate goals scored either by the team generally or by specific players.

Until I get a 2nd monitor anyways. Going fullscreen Game Capture while playing games seems to give me the best video quality resolution (as opposed to a minimized window Game Capture, which shrinks the resolution and makes it more blurry), but the problem is that it also doesn't let me monitor what's going on in OBS or let me talk to chat. I recorded a video of myself, only to later realize that I was on the wrong scene the whole time when I rewatched that recording (and none of my gameplay was recorded either). I'll definitely need to buy a 2nd monitor so I can have the game running on 1 screen and having OBS open in the other.
