I wouldn't say I have a tiered list of preferred chuubas to watch that ranges from "oshi" to "once every six months" but there is that internal clock saying "oh I should watch them, nah I'm not interested in that game, etc." Basically I just watch whatever I'm feeling up to, or honestly more often than not nothing at all and put on random youtube shit as white noise instead.
Frankly, I'm not a fan of facecams. But nocamming isn't that much of a thing these days, so vtubing kinda fills that niche. especially with pngtubers.
I don't really care, 99% of the time I just leave as soon as I get my points even if it's somebody I like. I guess I want them to raid someone they know or someone small. Always raiding up feels weird and kinda looks kinda desperate in my eyes.
I'm honestly more of a twitter addicted zombie than a twitch one, there's a lot of chuubas I follow on twitter that I watch rarely if at all. There's not a specific type of content; some are artists others just post funny memes. Variety's the spice of life and all that.
Sense of community, I guess. I don't watch larger ones because it's just mindless entertainment like any TV show or sports game. But when I'm watching someone that'll actually respond to specific chat members (myself or otherwise) it feels more like I'm a room of friends shooting the shit while one plays a game or sings or whatever.

1. My backup favorites; there's like 3 of them. At that point it's category usually, some of them are better while doing other things.
2. Obviously being able to react or interact with the stream at all is better than no camera streamers, but over facecam streamers, there's the ability for creativity. Model and outfit swaps. TiTs. Attaching things to your model. So much fun stuff, it's more like a show on TV than normal streams, it's expected for you to have some production value and interaction. Also for the most part, vtubers aren't normalfags.
3. Someone who won't get nervous at the raid, really. Otherwise I'm usually watching someone I'd be excited to raid into. But raiding into something fun is obviously great.
4. I keep a few bookmarked, but usually just check for schedules, or their art tags. I don't have a twitter for /here/ vtubers, so I don't follow any.
5. Damn... that's really tough. Important in what way? I think it's important for a vtuber to be happy, but with vtubing in general, I think there's the innate sense of community, and a general audience to aim for. Questions time is always fun, so what the heck.
1. Since she adjusted her hours, I haven't been able to actively watch my oshi except for the times she runs long enough to catch the end; so to adjust the question a bit, it's basically a mood based selection of who's got the energy that matches what I'm feeling at the moment.
2. Being able to make/comm fanworks in a variety of styles that really don't fit a meatspace or nocam streamer really isn't as apparent as it might seem, given how much fanart permeates this space. I can't imagine Jerma or xqc or someone being drawn as a mecha pilot, or transmorphed into a Kirby character or something and not having it be jarring.
3. If I can stick around, mostly that I know and enjoy them or they'll fit whatever mood I'm in, but that feels like a rare occassion lately so mostly I just hang around to get the points at this point.
4. Mostly for schedule posts, but bonus features are goofy shitposts like Bat's, or art, or things like the current Singing March.
5. The most important aspect is that they're having fun. If they're actually having fun, that energy reaches audiences, and makes it more enjoyable. If they're not having fun, there's awkward energy and tension. Fun things are in fact fun.
