If I can think of a quick legal reason, VOMS has its contracts set up so that while you're contracted with them, as a vtuber you get 100% of ad revenue and supas for you content in exchange for signing over 100% of all merchandizing and event rights. With Pika gone, she's no longer contracted with VOMS and thus no longer would get any revenue. Which means any revenue obtained after this point goes to GYARI which undermines how his company works.
