We asked them to delay their debut by half a month (mid-January) to not oversaturate the space as all of /sweet/ (Marie, Minta, Jubi and even Coco) had just started or were about to start. They both agreed and liked the idea because it gave them time to prep. After mid-January, everything was up to them and when they wanted to start. Both expressed school was also about to start, so I assume that is what is taking up their time.

It happens so often that her OBS settings are likely the culprit. Her laptop probably cant handle streaming at 60fps/720p/3000 kbps which I think are her current settings going by the video i got from ytdlp. I cant tell on my end but its a lot more likely if she doesnt have support for NVENC to offload the work from the CPU to the iGPU.
QRD swapping to 30 fps and maybe 480p would probably fix things, I doubt her upload speed is slow enough to the problem

Yeah sure, here's some off top of my head, but I'm not a vtuber (just a big fan) so oblig. grain of salt here, these might just be a textwall of mostly my opinions:

If you feel that way, sure, but you can get pretty far with only a PNG tbdesu. If you have the time and are willing to put in some art skill you can learn l2d and make one but obviously many people do this with varying degrees of success.
Alternatively, you can use an ai art generator to generate images and then edit them to make talking PNGs like we do here at FlaVR, but keep in mind that you should either
1: only use it early on before moving on to a model or proper non-AI pngs OR
2: if you use them long term recognize it'll put a bit of a bad taste in the mouths of twitter artists who bother to look into their commission clients.

At the very least, try out streaming in the first place. No webcam, no model, just livestreaming on the internet with voice. You can try this on YT or Twitch as preferred, but I'd also like to say that if you have decent relationships on discord you can stream in a VC to friends and strangers.
After development of the strength to stream all else will follow.
Aside from that, getting an idea on what you want your purpose in streaming, lore (or your entire kayfabe if you wanna go that way), and other design elements can help you not scramble for details later on.
Ask yourself what the focus of your content will be, or alternatively what you are good at, so you can play to your strengths.

I feel a lot of vtubers or aspiring vtubers are in that position. This is where you can get pretty limited, so your options are usually
1: ai art (the detriment of that previously stated)
2: if you have a friend who's an artist ask if they might be willing to sketch for you, but if they work commissions for a source of income they might be too busy to help, your mileage may vary.
3: DIY. Again, YMMV, but you get complete creative control.

Go to /vtai/ general, they have a really good guide if you wanna run it on your own machine, but you will need a decent graphics card to prompt at a reasonable speed.
Other than that, you could subscribe to whatever Web based subscription model fits your fancy, but you already said you don't have money.

Finally some MISC:
-There are plenty of free assets and paid-content-alternatives out there, you just need to look for them.
-Don't rely exclusively on controversy, raids from streamers, or friends' audiences for growth.
-Advertise yourself but don't be annoying about it.
-Simply make content! Growth does come naturally if you work at it.
-Lastly: Regardless on how much or how little you actually use this website, or however /here/ you are, do NOT mention, engage with, or reply directly to 4chan, /vt/, or threads talking about you whenever on your """official""" vtuber account unless you are really committing to being a 4chan chuuba, kinda like Kiki. Is just a bad idea, especially when new, and once you're in or confirmed /here/ by outsiders you are NEVER shaking off that mantle, even through graduations, reincarnations, or even into PL.

There’s png tubers so you just get an image and run it in to a program. There’s one where you have to edit it a little bit depending on how many frames you want it to cycle through.

Then there’s live2d which is the anime style. There are free models out there but you’re best to YouTube it.
