VTubers in general are growing as a genre, with more and more people taking up VTubing as a way to cultivate an audience EZ. You can be the ugliest ugly bastard and still attract fans for your stellar "personality", then seduce them on your Discord server or something. This is an incredibly likely thing because public figures gain status which gives them a certain amount of manipulative power over people, especially underage people. Streaming/youtubing has made a very easy way to gain public figure status, and therefore gain this power for completely normal, average people.

This is why we've seen such a growth in youtuber/streamer predators as of late.

Vtubing just makes it even easier to do it.
