I think it's a combination of the two. Holo and Niji somehow manage to get subpar rigging, where even if they used better software, it'd still be garbage. Their shit software definitely doesn't help either, with how long it took both of them to get features that vtube studio had for ages.

Riifu was a rollercoaster for me. Her accent initially filtered me hard, but it ended up growing on me. Skye's debut was boring and left me unimpressed, but I liked her a lot more after the collab.
