I'm no expert, but I had some musical education and here's my take on both of them:
Selen had a karaoke for her 400k celebration and she's definitely no singer but she isn't entirely tone deaf either. She uses her head voice almost exclusively and stresses her throat too much so she does a squeaky voice probably because she doesn't how to properly do high notes (think of the "the delusions you made.." line in Blackout) and likely is self-conscious of her singing. Definitely has potential if she took proper singing classes, and especially is she lost her shyness when it comes to singing and opened her voice even more.
Nina just has a hard time nailing the notes, but she has a very strong voice that I can potentially fall in love with. Her lessons have shown a lot of progress and I'm curious to hear more of her, but for now you can still hear her fall to some trappings for people who started singing properly until very recent (hard to describe because I'm dumdum).
