I've wanted to vtube for like a year and a half since people have said I should go for it, but can't get it started due to life stuff. I have a night shift security guard job and I'm always tired and I can't stream as much due to that and the fact that I'm constantly stressed and worried about my mom who has remnants of her breast cancer and now she might have some malignant shit on her neck as well. I can't imagine taking time to contact artists, riggers, make a twitter, do all the shit you need to do. I find it difficult enough to just be a normal streamer and grow as it is. I applied to holostars twice in the hopes of making it by some miracle but I'm sure my status as a nobody didn't help. It would've helped if I made it, money wise and psychologically so I could finally quit my shitty job and still help my mom. Thank you for reading my blog. Life sucks, I just wanted to vent at a wall.

I've been weaving streaming into my 3 shift job and it's pretty hell. Never consistent schedule means stunted growth for me and i do notice i'm always tired during my stream too. Unironically invested a couple hundred in audio, threw together a png.
It was okay the first several streams, then real life came in and kind of blew it up.
It's been months and I haven't done a single stream-I want to, but I'm not in the right headspace for it. I know some people will say you gotta push through but for me I wanted to make it more of a hobby rather than a career/second income like some people grind for.
That and upon thinking about what my future/improved model would look like led to a bit of an internal crisis as to what I actually think of myself, which is a whole different problem that compounded.

Only upside to this is the audio equipment isn't completely wasted when it comes to other stuff like voice acting.

the teacher basically had me talk normally for a few minutes to “diagnose” what was wrong with my voice then she taught me the proper breathing method and then the rest was just exercises using the breathing method. sounds simple but it was actually challenging because there’s a lot of stuff that you have to keep track of in addition to the breathing, like where your sound is resonating in your mouth, making sure your sound is “full” throughout your whole breath, the actual sound you’re making whether it’s just musical syllables/pitch slides or real words like if you were singing, etc. all these things are supposed to become natural and automatic after you’ve practiced a lot

Part of streaming is setting and enforcing boundaries. One of my most watched streamers has a running gag where he will talk about his wife and kid and chat will reflexively disbelieve that he has a wife (because she never appears on stream) and consequentially doesn't have a kid and just made them up for a story.

One of my favorite chuubas talks about her "real secret husband" even though its likely that she is unmarried because it adds to her "mom" appeal. Alternatively, she is actually married and just wants to obfuscate the difference for a goof.

Really the issue never comes up unless you make it a thing and/or don't properly enforce boundaries with your chat.
