Trying out the conterfeit nuhard model. It's awesome. Compared to the usual creamsicle/grapefruit model which has more of a 2.5D look, seeing more strict 2D is nice too.

Does anyone here have experience with making models?
I realized in the shower couple days ago that I'm sitting on a 80.1gb (38.1gb is dedicated to Okayu) folder of Hololive fanart of all generations from my /hlgg/ days. I was thinking about putting it in my 3090 to use and trying my hand at a Hololive model. It'd almost definetly be worse than hll but I might learn something in the process. I was thinking of either just doing a general Hololive model, or doing one just focused on GAMERS plus girls like Botan who have tails to see if that could mitigate the tail gacha.

I dunno, what do you guys think?

From what I noticed hl3.1 has much easier time with tails. Picreal is hl1 but still. I recommend "X tail attached to the tail bone" tag instead of "cat tail" so it would be "cat tail attached to tail bone". Experiment with that and tell me the results.

Faunanon here. Now take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt as I have no experience training a model from scratch(yet, you're better off waiting for a response from hllanon).
But having that said, I don't believe fine-tuning a new model based is that different from training a LoRA(which I've just learnt how to do). So if you haven't done that yet I'd recommend doing so first. As LoRAs are essentially mini models(not really but they kind of work that way).
DL the kohya-ss SD scripts and set up a separate venv for that. Read enough of the lora training guides(even the ones under sdg-links) so that you may feel confident you understand the basic concepts of regularisation images, cosine annealing, warmup ratios, what all the base layers of SD consists of, CLIP, UNet, AutoEncoder. Adam and the new lion optimizer and various learn rates.
All of this is stuff that can be applied when training a LoRA and are technical terms that should show up when training a full model aswell. Ask ChatGPT to explain concepts you dont understand lol.
I'd start there. A 3090 is powerful enough to fine tune but expect it to be running for 24+hours at near full load depending on how large your dataset is and how many epochs you want to run for. Hll anon had a runtime for 50+ hours and he has a 4090 which are nearly 50% more powerful than what you and I have in terms of compute power.
So yeah I'm maybe talking outta my ass here but good luck okayuposter.

You're unlikely to need to overclock/undervolt GPUs are made to be ran like this.
GPUs are smart these days and will adjust its performance if it's running too hot. You should be fine.

4070Ti is really the only decent option for NVidia right now (at least for me, who mainly just play games). It's basically a better 3090 which consumes way less power and only requires 2x8pin for the new adapter.

- For finetuning you can use kohya scripts too. Most options are same as in lora training, except base learning rate should be around 2e-6 instead of 1e-4.

Good to know. The vast majority of my folder is traditional fanart, but if I added my seperate AI folders images then I'd have even more.

I think a large part of it is that the art actually got good enough to be coomer art. Back on NAI you could definitely prompt some risque stuff but everything looked sort of lowres and jank and weird. So because you couldn't just get "typical" images in vey high quality everyone made weird stuff instead

Latent and 1.5x are fine for starting out. 0.7 denoising strength is probably on the higher side, so turn it down a bit.

If they are accurate and you belive it is good data I dont see why not. Original prompts should be fine.
I found a reference in one of the lora guides to say generate a 100 pics of 1girl, 1boy, each to use as regularization images and it seems to have been working okay for lora training so far.
Ive been using imgbrd-grabber to scrape danbooru, its the best site with the most accurate tags. Setup correctly you can generate tag information in a .txt alongside. Im sure you hllanon already know this but might be useful for okayuposter. Especially good if you want to grab new images for a new concept.

Anyone know why this Override model pops up sometimes when I'm switching models? Here is whats going on in the console:

Perhaps because you're loading PNG Info? I've only seen the override settings popup when I load an anon's image that had clip skip 1 or something.
Your question is practically impossible to answer without knowing 1. the previously loaded model, and its hash, 2. what model you're switching to, and its hash, 3. are you using PNG info
anyways, I disabled the setting that does that
