Not really. They don't exactly have a high bar for animation quality and you get a lot of leeway when animating non-human bits because the audience doesn't have a good idea of how they're supposed to move. Setting up a mocap rig would be a bit of work, but honestly not that bad if you use a few canned animations and some IK to fudge what you can't capture directly.

Anon you saw how much of a wreck ina's tentacles look in 3d, and those things don't even have physical control. Setting up a mocap rig for, say, a scylla body where the tentacles are actually legs would just end up in jank and tears. Remember they have to dance in these things. There is a reason why they made ina's tentacles easily hidable
