I was interested because we're talking about ads, so I looked up the stuff you can target with a YT campaign. You can do demos, with age and gender breakdowns, can target based on recent searches, can do negative remarketing by excluding people who have already seen your video, or liked your video, or visited to your channel. You can also track poorly performing placements, although I don't know if that's on a per-channel basis.
Very interesting stuff actually, seems really powerful.
