Get ready for a wall of "reddit" text.

The biggest risk as far as I can see is that noobs could freak out too quickly at what they experience when things don't go as they hope. Our mind is full with all sorts of stuff that may freak you out, from intrusive thoughts to potentially very dark feelings resulting from unprocessed negative emotions from the past, or fears that you haven't dealt with. Now none of that is dangerous in and of itself, but if you see any of those experiences as a threat in any way (like you start thinking "what if I'm gonna have a panic attack?", "What if I go insane?") then you'll just give them meaning and power you don't want them to have. You'll automatically try to push them away in some way too. "What you resist persists", so that that would just make it worse.

Now if you're mentally healthy and don't have risk factors it won't actually make you go insane or cause serious issues, but it could ruin your day or even multiple if you don't know how to stop that. That's why I recommend practicing acceptance of negative thoughts and feelings, and practicing defusion in general. It helps you experience them without buying into them or giving them power over you. It will help you understand that they're just thoughts and feelings and they don't have power over you, not just on a rational level, but on an INTUITIVE level.

Now this is assuming you're actually mentally healthy as you said. But if you have, anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma's or you're at risk of psychosis, then this could actually become dangerous and you should get therapy first.

The second pitfall is that you could get too attached to results and then sabotage your mental work. What happens is that when you try it, you (unconsciously) start checking "if it's working yet". And when the effect you want to get isn't there yet, all it will signal to your brain is "it's not working!". And when that's what your mind listens to, that's what you gonna get. That's why it's important to practice mindfulness and observation, and to learn to recognise and let go of attachments. Otherwise it's just gonna be very frustrating. Remember, don't think about the feelings you want to feel, imagine the things that will eventually make you feel those feelings.

In conclusion, if you don't have any mental issues and you'd like to try this, go ahead. You know yourself best, so you should decide for yourself if you want to do it. But I do recommend considering what I wrote earlier, just to be sure.

I could write much more advice, but this wall of text is almost big enough to be seen from space, so I'll stop right here unless you wanna hear more.

one more thing I must add, if you're raised with beliefs in spirits, or bought into the idea that mental work like this is scary and could make you go insane, that's also a risk factor. Main differences are the fact the helmet projects a face and is massive compared to the rest of the body.
The color palette is almost identical, even, save for the ribbon in the torso.

it's a pity because KJ's design and the mooner's design share way too many core traits, they would be confused for each other all the time especially in more simplistic art styles. it's different from, say, SSRB and takodachis, since while you could definitely say they both are a very similar concept (they even have the same face), you would never find anyone who could confuse a tako for an SSRB.

I can /maybe/ throw up a new design near the end of Suichan's break if I don't get too busy. Any suggestions? I'm thinking maybe leaning more towards a rabbit or some sort of creature motif this time since she seems to like those.

Yeah I was thinking Kanahei-ish hence the rabbit idea. I'll be honest I think a satellite chibi might be a bit too unwieldy even if I simplify it? Even if I can draw I don't think I can come up with something marketable with that concept. But i'll try anyways.
